I just tie it down with a silk scarf. It flattens the top a little so I pick it up a little in the morning. I usually rock these styles for a week or more....

Hair products are usually on a trial basis because everyone has different hair wants and needs. My best advice is to use Water, otherwater based products (Leave-ins) A coating oil like (Coocnut, Castor, Olive) and a Cream Product for styling. Hope that helps... :)

I didn't use flat iron... I blowout my hair with a blow dryer with an attachable comb when it was semi dry. I use heat protectant and grapeseed oil. You can do it on semi curly hair it might give you a more puffy look but big hair is great hair :-)

Maybe, I will do a video on my blow drying technique, I just have my blowdryer from Sally's with the comb attached and blow dry it that way section by section. I usually let my hair get about 50% dry before I use the blow dryer, use lots of oil and it comes out like this.
