May the Lord help us to be like Micaiah and stand for the truth like he did.

You can almost always find someone who will lie to. Sometimes, whether you're looking for them or not.

If the Lord does not cause us to sin or tempt us am I viewing the vision Micaiah had incorrectly? It seems almost as if that was the case here with the lying spirit enticing him to follow his selfish desires/pursuits. Please help me understand this a bit more! Thank you so much for these studies they have been great.

Ahab was given a word from the 400 prophets & from Macaiah. He could have listened to Macaiah but chose to listen to the prophets who told him to do what he wanted to do anyway! I don't always know for sure why God dies the things He does, but He always gives us a choice. Ahab was a wicked king who had been warned already by God about his wicked ways, yet he continued. Perhaps this was God's way of getting rid of him sooner, so he couldn't hurt anymore people. 🤷🏽♀️ Have you read 1 & 2 Kings?
