1968 TX 500 was the race machine built basically for the Winnipeg to St Paul 500. Reason for the TX 500 name. They ran the 396 single JLO in that race and almost all had a megaphone hanging out of the hood! They also came with a big 744 JLO that they raced that year. First year experimental aluminum chain case as well. Awesome machine.

In the old days, almost everyone in the neighborhood rode, 10 to 15 sleds would leave at once, ride to the supper club, eat, probably have a few ? 20 miles each way, and they were gone for a long time mom said, progress was slow, before groomed trails, late 50’s & 60’s , before I was born , neighbors riding , and Square Dancing , they liked to have fun , Neighbors

Clean the carbs guys 🍻🍻 Thanks again for taking us along Nutter 👍 As my handle is Indy Guy Rob, I of course gravitate to all those beautiful Indy’s! I’m with you, that 82 500 is stunning! What a beauty! Wish mine looked like that lol. That RXL is a 90.5 year, my personal favourite of all the RXL’s Valdi is such a riot! Pass the beer nuts lol Cheers 🍻

The Saber I believe was manufactured in Buffalo NY, with northway assistant by Recreative later to become Buffalo Recreative who manufactured 6 wheel amphibian machines. Never seen other than in books. So thank you for that. I use to make parts for them in the 90s. (6 wheelers)

you didnt see any 1970 arctic cat panther 634 hirth with montana pipes did you. my freind had one about 25 or 30 years ago it would have sounded good with all of those loud and insane machines there. that machine was clocked at sacandaga lake in the late 1970s here in ny doing 96 mph. i cant imagine with that cleated track and those insane pipes loud as hell. probably like trying to slow a train down. you got snow over in wisconsin. over my way here in the middle of ny it melted down hopefully theirs more on the horizon every were soon. have a good christmas.

@nuttersspeedshop quick question, i just seen a post on polaris wedge and polaris triples and someone was asking about how to get primary clutch off when clutch puller wasn't cutting it, and there was a bunch of people saying don't use an impact gun on it because it will knock crank out of faze. I've always used a impact and just give the clutch a tap with a rubber mallet and it pops off. Just wondering what your opinion is on that theory.
@nuttersspeedshop9 күн бұрын
Stand the engine on end, fill the clutch bolt hole with water. Wrap some teflon tape around a 3/4-16 bolt and screw it in at least an inch. Make sure there's no air. Put it outside when it is below freezing and let nature do the work. That is always my last resort and it works every time - if it's cold enough. Zero F or colder is best.
@ripsaw50039 күн бұрын
@nuttersspeedshop yes, but would using a impact on the clutch bolt or clutch puller even knock a crank out of phase?
