Xiaomi been killing it in the battery department since I had my first redmi note 4. They know their game. Between the Xiaomi Mi 8t and the K20 PRO I was going to go with the K20 PRO because of the better 855 processor, but now I see why they went with the 730 chip is better at power efficiency.

actually it is for the Europe region and for China and India region its $50 less. the price of mi9t/k20 in Europe is same as k20 pro thus making it expensive for 730 soc, when you can get the similar device with 855 soc for the same price.

Great test you put together, the accidental new format was actually really great to see. I'm assuming it was a wifi standby drain, so maybe the router and xl didn't play nice? Or a wake lock issue, but that is surprising either way from a pixel device! Also noticed a plethora of notifications at the top of the 7 pro, is that a result of oxygens way of handling notifications? Great setup once again, appreciate the detailed work you put into it, actually gives actionable info for phone purchases and recommendations. Cheers.

Yeah I’ll need to do some digging once I get the phone on, I think it could have been that or some background process, but when I stopped the test on day one I just turned the the screen off on all the phones and didn’t delete any apps from memory so they all had to deal with a similar issue. And yes they were on wifi too. Either way glad I was able to salvage this test and came up with something new in the process! Thanks again!

Wow! The Mi 9T best battery life! Its a design I like with a UI I like too. Started saving for one! I expected the pixel to go first but it went very early, such a small screen on time is no good when traveling with no access to power points - and a battery pack is just extra weight. The Realme and the 1+7 did better than I expected. The K20 pro the Mate and the Mi 9T all have great times. I am so amazed at the Mi 9T impressed even. You should take more care of your health, you seem to be unwell a lot recently with colds and stuff, perhaps travelling dropped your immune system and you need to build it up to strength again. Take care of yourself also for your family's sake not just for your video community. This was a great video with a great result - and I like the stand by time inclusion. This was necessary, yes, but is something only GSMARENA include in their battery life analysis. I know of no other tech shows that do that so you will have to include in in future too. Thanks Terry, and yes while all the devices did well here (except for the 3a XL) the Mi 9T just stunned me with its performance! Even outdoing the Mate 20 X was a major feat! Completely agree with your point about health, and yes you are dead on due to the recent travel and jet lag I was not at my best and susceptible to getting sick. I was actually surprised I hadn’t gotten sick after returning because I have in the past but I guess I ate my own words there! I’ll be traveling to Bangkok this weekend so definitely have to stay strong don’t want to be sick again and have it ruin the trip! Glad you enjoyed the standby inclusion! Wow amazing! Mi 9T is a very good option to buy, it is enough powerful and the battery is so good. The only thing I can complain about this video is not using a cable extender (i don´t know how to say in English) with an interruptor to disconnect all of them at the same time, and I think there must be an app to simulate a normal use of the phone opening and closing apps in an automatic way. Very good video man!

12% Drop on standby with 9T...I can attest to bad standby times with Xiaomi. When looking at the battery log it keeps "waking" up during the night for who knows why. The 1+7 only drops 7%. Nice. My Mi 9 drops around 10% over night but my wifes Mi Note 6 Pro - 2%. Xiaomi really need to sort out their standby times. Thanks for testing this!!

Great test, as always. The only problem with Mi9T is no band 4, 12, 13 or 17 and I need all of those to have reliable LTE in the areas I reside. Takes me 2-3 days to kill the battery on my Mate 20 X, anyway and my OP7 Pro has solid battery life as well and the on screen and off screen gestures are far more superior than on any other device.
