Nice trip. Here's something you might want to do before your next trip. TO DO LIST: 1. Buy new sleeping pad. 2. Create camping inventory list, include knife, fork and spoon.

Thanks! Will definitely be making a list for next time, too forgetful haha.

Thanks for posting another great video. Wife and I have hiked the same trails. Some of the creeks and bridges were familiar as well. Keep up the good work.

My favorite section of the trail is the last mile heading south on the MRT side.
@DamienPohl27 күн бұрын
I totally agree! Stunning! Wish I wasn’t so sore that last mile so I could’ve appreciated it more.🤣

This is really cool. In college we canoed part of the Manistee river and it was a great memory. I think you have a new subscriber. :) It always amazes me that hikers who do freeze dried meals and talk about so little flavor never bring seasoning packets with them. It's seriously so little grams for such a big return.
@DamienPohlАй бұрын
Thank you!! That’s awesome you canoed the manistee! Also what a great idea to bring seasoning packets. Can’t believe I haven’t thought of that haha!

Try a couple day canoe trip down the Manistee. I do a 60 mile river trip each year. 3 day on the river and 2 nights camping on the river banks.
@DamienPohl4 ай бұрын
Oh wow that would be awesome!! Gonna have to make that happen sometime

One of the many PLEASNTRIES of walking this trail is there is ZERO chance of experiencing road rage.

With a new water filter it’s best to run water through it a few times before drinking.. That’s probably why it had an odd taste. It’s nothing that’s gonna hurt you.. just a fyi ☺️ It’s a really good filter you have, the people- family than run the company are awesome people.
@DamienPohl3 ай бұрын
Yeah I realized after I probably should’ve done that first lol…it tasted and worked great after a few filters! Thanks for letting me know!! Sounds like an awesome company, such a great filter for the price!

@michellebronkema3918Ай бұрын
@@DamienPohl haha I always hang my food. I’m a scardy cat in my tent! My friends sleep in hammocks with their food in their packs next to where they sleep and have only ever had a raccoon getting in. Other than that we’ve only ever come across porcupine.
