I remember when I first watched this on TV I was super mad at Hodong for stopping to have fun when they were ahead of the race. But now that I'm older I realize he did it on purpose to make the show more entertaining and it really shows he truly deserved the title of best MC at that time.

1박2일은 맴버들끼리 나오는게 제일재미있음 시청자들나오고 친구들 나오고 그런거 말고 순수 맴버들끼리 나오는편들 자기네들끼리 게임하면서 서로 드립쳐주고 받고 시즌1 한편씩 다시보는데 시간이 벌써 이렇게나 지났구나하는게 느껴지면서 슬프기도 하고 재밌기도하고 저땐 일요일만 기다려졌었는데 휴ㅠㅠ

This is definitely one of the biggest twists with so many reversals, the situation always goes way beyond what I expect to happen. I think this is one of the best examples of the charm of season 1.
