Interesting to see African treasures and other regions have ended up in Morocco (and many other places) to these curators, this is largely due to the combined forces of colonial looting, trade networks, European interference in African affairs, and the global art market which serves western interests to take and own. Many curators overseeing these collections are from European culture and descent due to the ongoing dominance of Western institutions in the museum and heritage sectors. Efforts should be made to repatriate these treasures and correct historical wrongs.
