Wow! Awesome techniques. We love going for weighted walks with our pup and cooking. We throw on some oldies and make delicious foods and that always does the trick. Congrats on the sale! That piece was beautiful.

Ahh yes some smells can be triggering! It's been rough. I'm lowering my anti depressants. SH becomes an urge sometimes but i resist! I think about my kitties and i need to be here for them. I don't ignore my flashbacks like I used to. I never wanted to think about them let alone talk about them. My kitty let's me know if a flashback is coming on. He goes absolutely crazy lol funny how they take this on. I tried the 8D music! It was strange at first but I feel it does help in the moment. I tell myself I'm/you're here now and safe now. It feels like part of me is stuck there. I try to acknowledge that because I used to just dismiss everything. During a flashback I have to focus so hard on something visually so I don't lose my vision. It's getting better! It helps so much to know it's not just me being crazy 😊

It didn't click till you said it, but I use weighted walks anytime I go somewhere. Having my books and my writings stuff held soothes, when I am in public, especially my books.

@johnathancurry6993 yes, books are very grounding. The emdr effect it has was very helpful for me, especially at night before bed.
