Pro tip: if you have a lot of valuables or money in your house, get a very secure safe and put it in a hard to find place, and then buy a cheaper, smaller safe and just put a small amount of money in it. A burglar is probably going to assume there's only one safe in the house, so get them to steal from the decoy safe instead of the main one.

The thing that strikes me about all these Mr Nightmare videos is that most of the time you have people who give no thought to security. In story #2, these rich people had a big house, but no alarm system? No firearms for self defense? No guard dogs? Have fun, but always be a little paranoid. It will keep you alive.

The second being some ignorant belief that all police have superpowers and can appear in seconds or that police are somehow obligated to put their life on the line to save yours... the police have a duty to assess the situation and uphold the law, IF POSSIBLE, but, more often, to investigate and prosecute AFTER a crime gas been committed. You are responsible for your safety and you are the first responder. Take steps to secure yourself, your loved ones, and your property.

While I generally agree with your statement, and I do have a handgun myself for protection (and I have had a robbery break in at my house while my family slept) What good is a gun in this particular case? The robbers had the drop on them from the start. I’m more appalled at the folks (this sorry included) where people keep on getting drunker even after witnessing someone clearly dangerous mess with you. Watch your drinking and stay as clear headed as possible when you just saw 3 sinister guys eyeballing you and your property on a slowly passing boat. You’re gonna need those wits!

Lastly, if some creepy dudes are eyeballing you, staring you down, that's a huge red flag. If your gut instinct is that you're in danger, don't ignore it. Secure the perimeter, get locked down, and stay vigilant. Complacency kills.

As someone who lives next to 2 noisy AirBnBs, I'm imagining the neighbors in the first story were just trying to scare the party people away. If you've never lived through it, it's hard to imagine how much of an intrusion it is to have a new set of vacationers next door to you every other week/weekend. I still live here, but I could see myself going down some pretty crazy paths to scare off the out-of-towners who don't give a crap if they disturb the entire neighborhood and prevent me from being able to enjoy being outside in my own yard.

Not excusing any creepiness or aggression on the neighbors part to scare the kids away, but that first story is giving city kids discovering people live in the middle of nowhere. They were disrespectfully loud and trespassed on that lady's property. There's an unspoken code of conduct when you live that far out but still within ear shot of others and the air bnb host needed to make that clear for visitors.

It’s not actually pitch black at night and the moonlight reflects off the water, so kind of hard to hide.

As much as I hate to victim blame, the protagonists in these stories weren't completely in the right either. From what I've learned int the first story, don't get an AirBnb in a place that's so isolated and make a bunch of noise where you piss off everyone living nearby. In the second story, never flaunt your wealth in public, and always practice good safety precautions given how some very bad people can also be very smart.

I have a scary story, it happen when I was out walking my dog a little back story on my dog she is a pittbull terrier but she have spot like a dalmation. The people in the first story sound like rude and entitled college party kids that think the world revolves around them, just because you're in the middle of the woods doesn't mean other people don't live there and that you should be obnoxiously loud, people also seem to forget that there's also animals that they should be considerate of too. The group in the first story was kind of dumb. I feel like they should have stayed back when the screams were heard on the lake, assuming someone else would take care of it. This would allow everyone to stay together and not fall for the trap with the men.

@@mang0_cat444not trying to be rude but people who usually have a similar way of thinking that you do end up on the news and not for a good reason, trying to be a “hero” without thinking is incredibly dangerous.That can easily get you a early grave so you really gotta be cautious and use common sense in situation like that cause it could easily be a trap set up to catch someone

@@mang0_cat444 it isn’t wrong but it’s incredibly dangerous, imagine you hear someone screaming outside of your house at night, most people would not get up and go outside to investigate it’s just safety precautions cause this is how people fall victim to traps even if there is a chance it’s someone in danger the best thing to do is call the police especially if you’re woman it’s just not worth it to try and play hero potentially putting yourself in danger

I think story 1 was just a whole setup to scare them off. I can see how it would be infuriating for neighbors to have drunk college kids constantly blasting music and partying at all hours. That doesn't excuse their actions though. There are legal ways to deal with it. Most places have noise ordinances and they could just call the police and have them tell the kids to be quiet.
