I am doubting between genius and crazy but one has gotta love people who come up with these ideas. nevertheless, I think I will just buy a Wemos D1 mini. I am seriously impressed

Who is this lunatic.. and where do I get a cup of that CRAZY... :) Love all these inspirational videos creating junkyard dog tips/tricks and technology... Thanks Miika

you gotto have a streak of lunacy to do this, but I agree I love these projects. Did you see the video of the japanese guy who made a remote control duck and a working incubator in an easter eg?

fully agree, but to avoid any misunderstandings, my remark was in jest, I am in awe about what you did and I am happy there are people who do this stuff, whether it is 'crazy' or not. Subscribed to yr channel already

In this and in the previous video we show you, how to make an ESP8266 expansion board. And in the next videos we show soldered versions of the ESP-DIY development kit. They are very easy to make and you don't need any special equipment for them. The shopping lists for the components are in the links below the videos. Soldering the crystal is the most accurate part of the work. That is the only thing where I would want have a factory made adapter plate. But some day we want to test the differences between the 26 MHz, 24 MHz and 40 MHz crystals. And we couldn't do it without breaking the factory made ESP-module. And that's the point of these ESP-DIY modules and kits! You can select exactly those components that you want and do the connections that you want. This is important when you are making battery powered solutions or planning to make a commercial product. With a factory made adapter plate you would be bound to those components and connections that are on that plate. And soldering the crystal is not a big question. If you want, you can always use crystals that are bigger in size. Kiitos viestistäsi! Suomi on mieluisa paikka asua ja tämä kansainvälinen KZbin-internet-Arduino-eBay yhteisö on myös hyvä asia! Mukava puhua suomea tälläkin foorumilla!

Does the pan _have_ to be Teflon? I guess, yes, but I hate guessing.

Owen Brotherwood, I guess so too. Unfortunately I didn't try other pans.
