You two guys create the best carping videos. All the carp knowlege and techniques are obviously great but the the banter and humour is what tops it all. Tight lines from a Polish guy living in Australia where Carp is considered a pest...

Honestly I’m sure you guys know how rare it is for the standard uk carp fisherman to find a venue/river that has carp in it. It’s gold dust and very hard to get onto. But it’s something Iv always wanted to do. Fair play. Great vid guys. Living the dream

Here’s an idea for a future challenge: All the gear, no idea. Mark has to catch a single, double, twenty and thirty WITHOUT carp tackle but instead can use match, sea, spinning, fly gear etc.
@mtadave67029 ай бұрын
The most important part of a rotten bottom is knotting the breakaway to the lead. Th8se rb links are a snag risk, infact the more terminal tackle you use on the end of the rigs, the higher the risk of snagging. Upside down gemini clios are also a snag risk because they are technically hooks, common sense really. Even thise solo's are a snag risk. All you need is a swivel.on the bottom of a rig, and a breakaway yellow or red weight with the bait clip hooked into the swivel, and again, a knotted breakaway. Those vmo rbc clip can be clipped onto a blank weight upside down using pliers, and clipped into the swivel. You want anything that can hook into the seabed, upside down. Also if your snagging on a mark, you lengthen the breakaway line until all you loose IS the weight.
@DunkinBiscuits11 ай бұрын
Nah that was a pass those fish are normally 40lbers. For a challenge I'd say its fine to call that a pass, you just couldn't claim a pb that way it would have to remain a 37lber but yeah for the challenge you clearly caught 2 of the lakes known 40lbers

Feeling a bit bored after it finished so I got a challenge for him, carp blockbusters, divide the lake up into a grid and mark must make his way across it, given a set time to catch a carp from that area or he times out and loses that square forcing him to go another rout. he can pick his way across and gets a question about the square he picked, get it right and he gets extra time, wrong and a forfeit. or both or you could do battleships, picking a grid square each and the first one to catch from it sinks the other. :)

Makes me laugh Carp fishing. There's very little you can do to delegate the stamp of fish you catch. Yet guys will go to the extent of camping for 2 days, and in and out of the water in boats, just to be disappointed when they catch a smaller fish. There's very little you can change to get a 'bigger' fish in and thinking that a certain change has got you a bigger fish is a bit of a false economy, specially when the same rig / tactics have already caught you smaller stamp. It's literally a game of chance. Not a game I fancy. I'd rather be able to stack the odds in my favour of landing my fish by numbers (match fishing) than hoping a bigger specimen happens upon your bait before another
