Game at 20:25, wouldn't it instead be better to Turn 1: Innervate -> Crystal Merchant Turn 2: Untapped Potential -> Pass So your merchant can attack on turn 2, and you still get the quest credit and card draw on 2.

Depends on how much you like gambling. You get 1 free damage in if Merchant survives, but if he dies you're down a free card draw. So the question is if you should gamble your draw for 1 damage, and your draw is usually a lot more important.

Also, realistically I couldn't think of too many options the rogue would have to deal with his merchant on 2 outside of Coin -> Eviscerate, Backstab -> Coin -> SI7 or some kind of Zephyris shenanigans.

You should try token Druid with Stalladris. I’m running a version without the treant lovers, and the value off of things like rising winds, power of the wild, wrath, and even treenforcements is enough to instawin. Running Vargoth for spice.

I would assume it is to search for a possible answer to a threat the opponent is playing. You wouldn't want to pull a bad card on a previous turn when the situation suddenly calls for an entirely different one.

A little bit. He was lucky to get the Malygos discount (though other burn discount would've worked too) this time, but it's not like he needs that to happen every time. It's a highlander build, it's not a dedicated combo deck. Malygos Soulfire is just one possible win condition besides general value.

Only watched the intro of this video. Calling it now, he never finds a chance to play Forest's Aid and his deck misses the removal from Swipe or Wrath. Edit: What do you know. It's cool that Trump is willing to experiment and mess around with established decks, but he always gets too carried away with his greed. Sometimes it's good to just stop and ask yourself "Hey, why is nobody else putting this card into this deck?"

@@MrZombieanator It does, but that's about it. But even Phaoris is kinda clunky to play in QD, and Forest's Aid is just a dead card 99% of the time. Putting two in the deck just for Phaoris is just insane levels of greed. Even some treant builds only run one Aid.
