2 Karate Bug Men jump off and start frontflipping

I've watched this movie 11 times already (at the current date of this video) I don't know why but it's to the point where I can notice small pixeled detail that I can't see in the theater and first watching in streaming app.

I don't understand the reason why they zoom out so far in this scene at all, what is Anno thinking? Does he think we have binoculars compound eyes? Am I stupid?

It's to demonstrate just how HIGH the two can jump, and how FAR they can fall harmlessly. To show just how superhuman the duo are.
