Technically that’s how a normal compressor works, instead of water level rising in a fixed volume it’s just a piston rising, and instead of having a guy open a butterfly valve every time the bottles are filled, a valve opens every time the piston reaches its highest point and the air escapes that way. This compressor could be implemented into a water system. If you add a second valve on the bottom of the bottles, you could empty all of them at once, and use the water in other ways, instead of wasting it. Then, when you need compressed air again, you flip a switch and water starts filling the bottles again. With a little bit of work, the process could be automated.

@YEET-yh6qc4 жыл бұрын
You can connect a compressor tank to your water out line. Let it fill with water and the air can be collected in another compressor tank. Time it right when you shower and youll some have compressed air for free and just open a return line from the first tank back to your water system. You can use that air for many things at whatever psi you got from the tank. You can run pneumatic tools equipment maybe even make an electric generator if you have enough tanks to run a alternator long enough. Ik its complicated but at least you'll have a compressor that can last longer than any other as long as the tank don't get holes and won't cost you anything after a time period if you count gas or watts used by standard compressors
@SqueakyNeb4 жыл бұрын
@@YEET-yh6qc this isn't magically turning water into pressure, it's just transferring pressure from the water supply system to air.
@YEET-yh6qc4 жыл бұрын
@@SqueakyNeb ik the air that gets trapped in the water when stream creates negative atmospheric pressure sucking in air in the line you just separate it by literally 3 pipes its called a trompe. It can work depending what you want and how big of trompe you make. Industrial ones for the sale of compressed air were build on rivers and other streams. People use them for hydroponics, i want to build one for aerobic bacteria to treat sewage water instead of just having a septic tank. I want the dirty water to be almost clear so it can flow back into the garden the same way they sewage process water for golf courts sprinklers.
@o.h.gaming20064 жыл бұрын
That's really cool to make a compressor like that, but a disclaimer should be put up for people who are not smart enough to realize there is water particles in with that air being put into a tire which is very dangerous in freezing weather conditions.

@Gunners_Mate_Guns4 жыл бұрын
@@Mardog666 The math for the volume of the tire was actually about right, and he even qualified his math there by saying that it was approximate due to trying to extrapolate a square-sided volume to a round object. Also, if you're so worried about the precision of the math, why aren't you worried about the obvious impracticality of filing tires using garden hose water for the compression source?
@Mardog6664 жыл бұрын
PinkOld well figuring out the volume should be simple for lets say 12 year old. But my point is his mixing actual pressure of atmosphere and saying that eventhough the tire is flat there is still 1atm pressure in it, which is of course false. So I was suggesting him leaving out the physics next time, since he sucks at it. Otherwise he just proved you can compress air with water pressure, I am fine with that

WormFrizzer you’re a fucking idiot. Imperial is not only more precise, but more relatable. Temperature especially. If I go to Europe, the difference between 10-30 degrees is life or death. In the US and other smart countries, we have a much more precise form of measurement. I know that 32 is freezing, 50 is chilly, and 100 is hot. Thats why all the best chefs in the world use Fahrenheit to bake and cook, and why all of the countries that landed on the moon used the imperial system to land there.
