The song is great on its own, makes me excited about the album coming out. But the music video... kinda terrifies me. It starts like everything is normal and ok, with a person going about what we think is an good day: doing some work, snacking, relaxing. It's sped up a little bit, he's constantly switching activities with an almost fervent need to be doing something at all times, it's all being done within the same room with an unnatural lighting, but eh, that's alright, that's just how he lives But then we hit the slightly softer music during the dream. Suddenly, we have normal play speed, natural lighting, and long shots of him walking through the levels at a relaxed pace, taking the time to appreciate everything, including a lizard just crawling on his hand. He seems to just be enjoying being in the here and now, without the need to do something. It's natural, something that the waking life is missing. He's at peace. At least until.... He wakes up. Then the old frantic music immediately starts up again, now seeming kinda off even though its similar to the first time it played, the play speed is fast, unnatural lighting and the feeling of claustrophobia is back. The dream still lingers slightly as he's brushing his teeth as the bathroom is at least brighter than before. But once he goes back into the room, it's back to the frantic style of needing to be doing anything, including looking at his phone while the world spins around him. He's trying to regain that calm from the dream where he was just ok with being in the moment, but it's slipping until it's lost completely, and then he's just overwhelmed with the realization of what his dream life would be versus how he chooses (consciously and unconsciously) to live his life now, at which point the video ends. I think alot of us are going through this feeling of constantly needing to get something/anything/everything done or needing to be distracted by something while wishing we could just appreciate the slower moments and what's going on in the moment. No matter how much we "relax" by watching movies or playing games, we still have this feeling of "I need to enjoy this thing " or "while I'm waiting for this thing, I need to be doing something else" and we're never at rest or get that feeling of being well rested. And when we realize it, it hits hard. Thank you for making the music and the video. I'm not sure what feelings you were trying to draw out or express with the song and video, but this is what it brought out in me.

This is exactly what I was going to write myself, albeit probably less eloquently put. And I think we can all relate to this including myself, being a content creator as well, this so easily encapsulates the feeling of anxiety and pressure you have while awake to push yourself harder and harder to make sure you meet deadlines, make sure you make people happy, make sure you make enough money, and sometimes how your passion consumes you and becomes something you eventually grow to loath, it's such a perfect track and the music video compliments it beautifully. There's a reason 2 Mello is one of my favorite artists, no lie.

I'm just gonna gush about how cool this song and music video are. To me the song is the song is about the difficulties of the creative process. The song we hear is both what he's trying to make, and also how he's feeling and thinking. The piano starts in the music and he starts playing the piano. It gets broken up by the drum and bass and he struggles to play the song he wants - even when he leaves it the piano is still in his mind though, he's trying to develop it admist the muddy chaotic thoughts. When he comes back to trying to work on music after his break he initially feels more motivated, the music is more hopeful, but that hope becomes more like longing as he struggles and eventually lies down. When he goes to sleep and the tone shift happens, it's clearly the same song but it feels so much more rich. The sax isn't abrasive, the piano is lush, and it's reflected by the *extended shot of a salamander vibing.* This is what he's literally dreaming of making, where he wants to be. But when he wakes up, it's immediately back to the rough sax which is likened to the phone's alarm. The music from the dream is still there, but it's overwhelmed by even more chaos. I think anyone who's tried to express an idea they've had knows the a g o n y that is trying to execute your ideas. Some days you just can't think of anything no matter how hard you try or how close the vision is.
