Fixing Hook, do not tighten the bolt to the end, to prevent split hook !!ATTENTION!!
2 Minutes Tutorial how to adjust Folding Mechanism fix Backlash on M365 Xiaomi Mijia Electric Scooter handlebars without any GASKETS
IMPORTANT:
1 - Lubricate the folding mechanism!
2 - Adjust the nut so that the mechanism is folded with a little effort.
I think make this part from aluminium mould is not good idea from ninebot, but cheap, this bad idea because huge mechanical pressure on this part. Of course this part will broken sooner or later.

I also recommend usingI also recommend use spring lock washer like this type(www.amazon.com/Stainless-Steel-Split-Washer-Specifications/dp/B00AVZ4HDA) with regular aluminium washer. Because it will help reduce hook breakage problems if you don't tighten it too tight

If you degrease the parts before hand and use a bit of locite 243 you won't run into problems as soon. Don't use a higher strength loctite as you won't get it apart again, 243 is more than sufficient. I tiny dot and quick run around 1 or 2 threads is all you need, don't plaster it everywhere.

i can tell you, did this on mine a while back. as you can see the lockpiece itself bends over time and tightening it will only put more tension on that area. My advice is to spend that cash on an upgraded and reinforced one. The small pads you can buy to put between also well worth the money.

Friend of mine is in hospital because it broke! Be careful! If there is suddenly more movement or „play“ while driving break carful and stop immediately. Because then the screw is already broken and you could fall on the folding mechanism and them on the road head first :/ Also don’t put any weight on the steering wheel. No Phone and NO BAG! I have 1200 km and its not broken yet, my Friend had under 100 km on his scooter!

I left it loose enough for small rattle then used gapped tape between the hinges to absorb the vibrations and to keep it from clacking/chipping away the paint.

Žiga Vajdič hi use solidoil, or motor oil, for best result try to disassemble folding mechanism before, thats. just try to lube that, if you not do it before you will feel a huge difference

Hi. Yes disc brake is to weak, you can check it if switch off power, but I find it useful in case of abrupt stop, I always use STRONG mode, that’s only useful if compare with others. But I had a little trouble sometimes when using Kers break only, scooter stoped and beeping frequently, when I just press on disk break handle, and all ok

I've heard that KERS set to Strong may damage the electronic components, because the voltage regenerated when braking at high speeds with Kers set to 'Strong' can be too high for the components to handle. Might be a myth, not sure.

WiKAi it has fuse protector on battery PCB to prevent damage, you can replace it with soldering iron

It's ok, my both brand new m365 has backlashes out of box, I also recommended put thin washer between bolt head and hook, for long time living hook, because washer bends and distributes the load on a larger area of hook

Btw, I'm trying o switch the whole folding mechanism. I've managed to get it off the front tire, but now the other half is stuck to the long neck of the handlebar. I've unscrewed just about Evey screw. What am I missing?? Thanks.

Or, in my case, it appears they've moved the 4 fixing screws in a plastic bag on the left handle. Did you check that? I've initially missed it.

It is not that simple. The wobbling is still there, on M365 Pro. I had to manipulate this middle nut and screw to make it right. I have M365 Pro since a few days. I had to fix the steering column direction against the wheel, to make them correct. It started to wobble a bit. This fix here does not work that simple. Like I wrote. You need to play with this for 1 hour to make it right. Half a turn of wrench and its wrong. Half turn of wrench and its ok.

Please lubricate mechanism. You can broke folding arm if it is with force. This video about backlash free play without gasket.

Hi, friendly PSA...don't do this. The grease gets into the bolt, and the bolt works itself loose, and then the handlebars fall off, and then you end up with a concussion in hospital like me :D Edit: I'm not sure if my bolt snapped or fell off since it's gone, but this is a possibility

There is a easier fix. Using ductape/gorilla tape. See pictures. Dont mind the silicon. That didnt work. Ductape did. Just one layer of tape on each side not in the middle! And some tape araound the bar to hold it in place! See link imgur.com/a/THywlgW
