So much about this palette is right up my alley. The Sookie Stackhouse series also took over my life. I read them after the series and I was so sad when I was done. I loved all those characters so much.

I though the blue smoky look was OUTSTANDING. That really looks amazing with your coloring.

The blue smokey eye look so good on you 😍. Cheers for venturing out of your comfort zone and ecouraging us to do the same. I also can;t help but wonder how the blue look would pair with a vampy lip and since I'm rewatching Once upon a time I get the best Regina Mills vibes from you(with a more Snow White skin tone). On the books: I did recommend all Sarah J Maas series...but, those are all big series and definitely get you sucked in 🤣. Do you like retellings/ re-imagening of mythology? I really loved the Goddess Teste Series by Aimee Carter (3 books plus a books of short stories that tie in to the main story line).

Blue Smokey looks is always daunting and knowing you don't gravitate toward blues normally, all the props for that! YOU ROCK that. Thanks for more inspo!

Even though the rich, sultry blue look feels like it's outside of your comfort zone (my own, too!), Amanda; you wear it very well and it is GLAM AF!!! (as fire, not y'know 😅)

I really love the book Graceling. It’s technically a series but books 2 and 3 are about different people, so you don’t have to continue the series. The first one is the best anyway. And it is a complete story. Magical, romantic, unique. I love it. 💖

That is a very versatile palette. Thanks Amanda. I thought you wore both well but the peach look is my favourite

I really liked The Naturals and am looking forward to continuing the series. It is YA but still entertaining for this middle-aged adult. Other recent top picks are My Murder by Katie Williams and The Co-op from Tarah Dewitt

Books I’m working my way through the Sookie Stackhouse series because I had never watched the show or read them before. I did read one a couple weeks ago called the Strawberry diner and I’m getting ready to start the Matthew Perry biography I also read the book I’m glad my mother is dead can’t think of a little girl’s first name but she is a McCarty I think you said last night it was a very well written books

Love these looks! I think I'm sold on this palette!! :D Three wildly different books that I've loved over the past few years: Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir (science fantasy and part of a quartet, so pretty much the opposite of what you asked for XD but it's THE best thing I've read in the past decade so I had to include it), City of Brass by Shannon Chakraborty (fantasy, part of a trilogy), and Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail (contemporary romance). Bonus mention of the Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner, because it is truly amazing!

How about a 5 book Series? I enjoyed Rachel Aarons Heartstriker series starting with Nice Dragons Finish Last. Nice blend of fantasy, sci-fi and urban grunge with just a small drop of romance. And of course I watch till the end, I’m addicted to you pouring out the love vibes ❤

Loved both looks! And my book recommendation for biographies is Charles Dickens A Life by Claire Tomalin. She’s such a good writer and he led a surprisingly wild life

Both the looks are gorgeous but I especially like the blue look on you. An immensely inspiring autobiography is "The Boy who never gave up" by Dr Emmanuel Taban. It's a book that everyone should read and it is the first autobiography title that I recommend to read when asked by readers.

I know you said not so much sci-fi… haha, but To Be Taught, if Fortunate by Becky Chambers is very short and was a 5 star for me out of over 100 books I read last year. This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub was wonderful, and for nonfiction I bought my favorite people a copy of Hidden Potential by Adam Grant. I did a smoky blue eye yesterday! Great minds think alike ❤😊

I love the blue look . As for book recommendations, maybe u can try the The Little Shop of Found Things by Paula Brackston , it’s a good magical story with a cute romance story Or maybe Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke , but this one is long, over 1000 pages , I'm not sure , u can try listen to this particular book since the audiobook is quite good

Just received the new Alex Michaelides book (he wrote the Silent Patient which was a great Thriller). I also like Stacy Willingham for Thrillers. I have the Fourth Wing series on my TBR list. Only 2 books so far. Also, Midnight Library is waiting for me on my shelf.

Im reading Remarkably Bright Creatures with my book club. It's really good, it's a one off, it's mostly realistic fiction, a little mysterious, but definitely not a Real Mystery. It's by Shelby Van Pelt. I hope you love it!

My book recs are probably out of date but.... the Croak trilogy by Gina Damico is fantastic and the books are not very long. Basically anything by Melina Marchetta or Sarah Fine. The 'His Fair Assassin' trilogy by Robin LaFevers....the Hex Hall trilogy by Rachel Hawkins....the Darkest Powers trilogy by Kelley Armstrong

Dang, I wish I had a book. I read really trippy absurdist stuff that doesnt sound like you. Maybe try Unkindness of Magicians or the Magicians trilogy (not related). First is a society of magic and magical battle competition for the leading family. Hadnt finished, but might be one that calls to you. I do recommend The Magicians though. Theres a TV show too thats so fun and dark.

Books: ok so the fantasy books I was going to mention at first are series so maybe not but ooo! Patricia Briggs the Alpha and Omega series only has a few books in it and is so good! Urban Fantasy with werewolves and shapeshifters. As for non fantasy, Erotic Stories for Punjabi Women is the best book I’ve read in a few years (young Indian woman thinks she’s going to teach a creative writing class to older women in her community and finds out that these women don’t even know how to WRITE but it doesn’t mean they haven’t lived through stories worth sharing so they take turns sharing and recording their life stories). And of course I love the looks!
