Kinda disappointed you didn’t say what water temperatures they move and that you didn’t point out any baitfish on the livescope. From the size of fish you caught you are blessed to have such a fishery. Clearly you are a good fisherman.

This time of year fish will move shallower when the water temp gets to that 65-72 degree range depending on where you are in the country. Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate you watching!

That’s everything. One think I feel makes them bite less in barometric pressure change. I have a much harder time making them bite when we’ve had a rapid change. I can find them just suspended and not moving

Yes. Steady pressure usually means average fishing. Falling pressure can mean feeding frenzy. Thanks so much for tuning in!

Heard water temps lot. Never heard the temp where this law applies.
@crappiemoment Жыл бұрын
This time of year water temps can be 65-70ish degrees and lead fish into Creek arms and shallower water as they chase baitfish to fatten up for winter. All depending on what part of the country. The colder the water temp the deeper they will go as winter approaches. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching again!

Great video as always. How bout a video on what you are seeing on your sonar as far as bait ,structure or mapping before you will start to fish an area ? Thanks for the info.

Are you talking about surface tempature ?
@crappiemoment Жыл бұрын
Yes. Most sonar/fish finders measure surface temperature. Temps will be different the deeper you go but when surface temps get 60-70 this time of year fish will move shallower. This all depends where you are in the country. Hope this helps.

You never gave a range of temperature for crappie. does the temp preference change for the different seasons?
@crappiemoment Жыл бұрын
Yes, water temp will determine where crappie go. Ultimately it depends what part of the country you are in. During this time of year water temps between 60-70 often find crappie chasing baitfish in Creek arms and shallower water before they go back deep for the winter.

Do you purposely open up the gap on your jighead?
@crappiemoment Жыл бұрын
Yes. Sometimes I'll slightly open the gap on the hook but not all the time. Sometimes I forget to close it back after pulling out of a stump which is what most likely happened here. 😊😊

don't really subscribe or follow you LS dudes as most of your information is irrelevant to most of viewers who don't have it or use electronics that much.

Baitfish and water temps are NOT irrelevant to any crappie fisherman regardless of electronics. Appreciate you watching.
