Thank you for this, I've been struggling a bit trying to create progressions and this opened my eyes to a few things I was missing.

Thank you! Ive seen countless videos on 5-1 and 2-5-1s before your channel came on the scene, and of courese you come through an explain it in a way that i can acutally understand. I say it under most videos but thank you man, you have revolutionized the way I think about music

This was helpful to watch but I got lost. From what I gathered this is really a 4-5-1-2-5. Am I understanding that correctly? Does the first chord of the 5-1 -2-5-1 have to be the 4 chord?
@Bstixproduction14 сағат бұрын
If you’re thinking in c major it starts with a 4 chord (f) then the next chord move is a 5 1 but a minor is not the 1 chord in c major we temporarily tonicize a minor then we have a 2 5 again but this time it’s leading back to the 1 but they’re all secondary dominants as the dominant 5 chord in c major is g If that makes sense lol

@@Bstixproduction Very confusing lol but I did some reason and think I made sense of it. I know that a secondary dominant is when you take the 5 chord from another note other than the 1 of the scale. You took the 4 chord from C major, the 5-1 are from A major and the 2-5 is based on the F major scale.
