When he talks about the sin we inherited, that’s a reference to the original sin of Adam. Not our actual father. Adam is our first “father” by being the first man. Second, the bankrupting of heaven was sending Jesus. The crushing of Jesus by the Father for our sins was everything, in that moment Jesus bore the weight of the Father’s wrath for humanity’s’ sin.

Namely my receptive union of the cross with Him is lacking, but there's hope Romans 8:17 "provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him." I realize you've represented Calvinist teaching. In Catholic teaching: Rather than bearing the Father's wrath, Jesus gives forth his life as the ransom that would free men from the slavery of sin, so dying in unity of relationship with him we may rise with him in the redeeming love that always united him to the Father, including on the cross, Jesus assumes us in the state of our waywardness of sin, to the point that he could say in our name from the cross: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" (Quoting Psalm 22) Having thus established him in solidarity with us sinners, God the Father "did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all". The Father "shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." What's left biblically is our duty to respond to that offer of redemption by cooperating with grace given through faith to live in beloved relationship as Christ always was. Blessings friends,

yh, Ernest had it mostly right but made one (crucial) mistake there: Christ's sacrifice is exactly the right price to pay for ALL sin, man cannot add to or outdo God's sacrifice/work.

I also did not. *Christ's sacrifice is exactly the right price for all sin,* but Christ won't force your will to pick up your cross and follow him. It's not that man can outdo or add anything to the perfect work of Christ. In my description you can see that was not the meaning of Romans 8;17 or Colossians 1;27, but rather we are saved by His sufficient grace, made available through faith, so we can follow His commandment in relationship with Him. The commandments for love remain and God doesn't force our will to love Him, accept relationship with Him, or pick up a cross and do our part of love. The labor of loving God and others is wanting, God doesn't force the relationship or entrustment "but as many as received him, he gave them power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in his name." - John 1;12

I appreciate what you saying about pronouncing Hispanic words. Is anytime had a minute to sit down with a Hispanic and went through some words they were all about the accent and if I didn't do that accent right they would say I was wrong and tell me to say it again. And it wasn't until couple years ago I finally thought "why do white people always have to change their accent for a different language but when another culture keeps their accent heavily when speaking english?". The “sin debt that we inherited” is a reference to our first father Adam. Romans 5 talks about how all men are inherently sinful as a result of his fall in Genesis 3. So the conclusion is that our biggest problem is that we are sinners, but God bankrupted Heaven by becoming a man (Jesus) and died a substitutionary death so that all who would repent and believe in Him would be saved and be with Him in Heaven.
