I was sitting in the car at the hospital this evening listening to this piece. Quietly weeping to myself having visited my mother fighting a brave battle with alzheimers disease. Mogwai hits that raw nerve with me. Nice comments from all you people out there

Life kicks us hard at times mate. Hang on tight, wake up each day and kick life back harder. Never give up fighting! Music like this help us ride the waves of life. Let's us know and reminds us we aren't alone.

"I do not own this video, simply guard it for the next generations of Mogwai fans. Because although you will die, Hardcore will never die." I LOVE YOU MAN

I have to say I was lucky enough to see Mogwai in a small venue in 2003 rather than the stadiums or theaters they play in these days. The acoustics. The loudness. I was 22. That show will always be special to me as well as this song. Time goes by fast. And the great feelings for live music can sometimes fade because music was so full of life then across many genres. I spent many nights listening to this song and its fade out.

This is one of the best versions easily available. They have so many variations spanning decades of live shows, however I heard many of them them on internet archive starting around a decade and a half ago. Trust me when I say that hunting their live performances is worth finding the different versions of the songs, as you should be familiar with several different versions to get the full spectrum of what’s not being played, as well. Some more excellent control of chaos, Mogwai.

Absolutely agree and I do the same thing. Mogwai has been there for me for so long, can't remember life without them. And this version of this phenomenal song is the best I have found.

Google inserting ad breaks to nag users into subscribing makes me want to break up google, boycot any product or service that chooses to pay to abuse its customers, and possibly put google executives in front of firing squads as public entertainment. I don’t think I’m overreacting.

I really prefer it when played with a banjo at the end. It just sounds better imo
@mogwaifan70945 жыл бұрын
I think the lack of the banjo and screeching grain brakes at the end are compensated by the use of the vocoder through out the piece by Barry burns. The sound is otherworldly.
