Excellent video. I installed the same risers on my 2012 NC700X and found that I had to make some changes in the routing of the front brake hose. I didn't use your method but I may look into it. Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate how to accomplish the installation. Why did I install the ROX risers? They brought the handle grip position back toward me and higher up improving my riding position. 73, Mike ke4ilg

Thanks for the comment. I'm sure there are other possibilities to route the wires than mine 👍

The front brakes cable was on a hanger on the front (the rubber collar that connects to a hook to hold it). When re routing, were you able to put the rubber collar on the correct place again? Or left hanging?

I have heard that it may be possible to change the rear brake assembly so that the brake can be used with your left hand instead of your foot by installing the rear brake assembly from the X-ADV onto the NC750X.

Interesting thougt, and sounds like it could be possible. I don't have a need for this modification though.

Nice indeed! Just for a question, I suppose this over 5cm riser fits to 750X abs+dct model without replacing and extending the cables? Mine is 2014.

Hi Mike. How do you remove the clips that hold the cable. There’s one close to the center fork with a rubber grommet on it. If I could get that off I think there may be enough slack

With those risers can you bring the handle bars back closer to you? I have a 2006 honda 1300 vtx and I installed a new mustang seat and it sits me further away from the handlebars. From what a few people have told me you can adjust it to bring the bars closer.

Great vid. Will it be the same situation for the NC700S ?

Jeeeez - I actually watched this. I couldn't believe a video was even necessary. Turning a 10 minute job into an hour. Risers are a 10 minute (15 minute with coffee) job. Re-routing the brake cables?? What!? Unless it's the Rox risers specifically - in which case, they are the problem - buy others instead. The tension in the right side is the small Allen key clip on the underside of the right yoke. I've seen some who haven't even removed it, but doing so (I did) doesn't require the plastic to be removed. Nor did I remove the switch unit from the handlebar on the right side.

Looks very good. Have you gone for a test ride? Are there any problems with the cables being pinched? Thanks.

No problems with the cables so far. It really changed my riding position for the better.

Thanks for the video, very useful. Do you know what torque you used for the bolts on the Rox Risers?
@stacyallen7605 Жыл бұрын
I bought these for my 2023 NC750X DCT. Haven’t tried to install yet. Hoping I won’t have to re-route anything. Did you use any lock tight on any bolts or use a torque wrench?

Hi. Just watched a video about Rox risers. Did you fit yours ok? I have the same model '23 dct and am struggling to find the right risers. Did you need to alter cables as Finnmike did? Cheers

Hi, I have two questions for you. 1. Do you think with all the cable rerouting that a Rox 3.5" riser would work on this bike? 2. I noticed you also moved the throttle cables to the inside of the triple tree, but did not mention it. How did you go about doing this? Were you able to do it at the handlebar end or did you need access to the throttle body to loosen the slack in the cables?

Hi FinnMike I would like to ask you about the feeling that you earn, thank you.

If you mean how it feels to ride with the risers, well it is much better for me as I'm quite tall. It really made a difference.

Great video, as usual from you ! Having gone through this process, do you think the Rox 2 inch anti-vibration risers could also be fitted the same way ? Their actual height increase is 2-3/8 (that is almost one centimeter more than yours so). Would the brake hose, going under through the new route, allow it from what you've seen ? Is there still a little usable slack to stretch it so far ? And the same question goes for the parking brake (but I guess this could be solved without too much fuss). Obviously I'm talking about the exact same as yours, the NC 750 DCT ABS (and to be true I also went with the black color, after having tried the AT and x-adv, just like you did !) Cheers !

Maybe stupid question: When do you need this kind of adjustment.. when your little or tall,,? Greetz from Holland Cool channel btw
@FinnMikeonaBike4 жыл бұрын
I need it because the riding position for me is uncomfortable. I get neck pain from riding long periods without the risers. If the original riding position is good for you then this modification is unnecessary. It seems taller persons complain more about the riding position, I'm 183cm.

Mike, I'm about to do this in a few days when I receive my risers. ***Question*** Do you have to move brake cable on a NON-ABS model? Jusdt wondering cause another video said a 2013 non abs model didn't need to do so. I was just wondering if I needed to on a 2020 model. Thanks in advance! Brian

It looks like you ran the throttle cables aft of the forks as well. Any reason for that, as it appeared they were in the original position (presumably satisfactorily) before you did your addendum to the video? I've got the same bike and just took delivery of the 2" risers, so I find your video informative and helpful; but seek some clarity on the aforementioned before moving forward. Thanks, and good work on all your videos.
@FinnMikeonaBike4 жыл бұрын
Hello Tommy, yes you are right, I ran the throttle cable under the fork but forgot to mention about it as it is not necessary to do so. The cables were long enough as the were originally, I just did it once I was to it, mainly for future needs, if I was to rise the handlebar even further.
@ropeysubstance17193 жыл бұрын
Did you end up moving the throttle cables? Im thinking about going for a 3.5" riser instead of a 2" and I will very much need to move the throttle cables similar to how FinnMike did. But I'm not sure how to do it. Any tips?
