The cleaning of not only the wing but the whole aircraft is done in the countries situated in the polar regions. I live in Canada, in one of the most cold regions of the world. Finland is also in the polar region. So this is the practice of cleaning minutest particle of ice with alcohol. This is a mandatory practice to keep all the I'm[ortant sensors of the airplane functioning properly. The process is called de-icing. Now you know what it is. :-D
