Morissette.. for total package ❤ What an amazing performance by her. The pureness and richness in her tone, the pitches, the huge depth in range in the high and low register, the vocal breaks (squeaks), the growls, the dictions, the runs, the pulls, the vibrato, the crescendo, the rasp, the vocal fry, the advanced control, the articulation, the reluctance and breathy control, the diction and ornamental use of vowels and consonants, the character in her storytelling style. She has it all. Well balanced and effortlessly done. The technique is so impecable. She can do a whistle tone too. She cuts right into your soul when she sings. Goosebumps. This is Bohemian Rhapsody 2.0. Her voice is a combination of some of the legends in the music industry.. Mariah Carey, Cristina Aguilera, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Arianna Grande and Whitney Houston. She is probably the best vocalist in the world now. One of the most crystalline voice I have heard. She is phenomenal. I had been Morified by her 😂

I am a huge fan of both ladies, Katrina is known for her belting and voice agility, Mori for me has the same ability albeit more richness to her tone and is more of a refined singer. I am a bit more biased towards Mori as i've seen her go to different genre musically and adapt quite well. Mori's delivery of the songs and how she convey's her emotions through them bar none is tops! Regardless I love both ladies and have appreciation how they make music seem so easy and warms my heart every time I see them perform.

@BrunO De MarchiS But compared to other singers that also have extreme good technique like Katrina here or So Hyang for me in the end its her tone that simply touches me more and gives me just a feeling that i don't get from the others. Of course the tone is maybe in the end also a result of technique, but i'm not the big voice nerd who really can say that. I remember one reactor talked about using different vibrato timings and stuff like that, but for me its in the end only the result i hear and i either like it more or not.

@BrunO De MarchiS Yeah, what you say about not screaming at high notes, that makes maybe a lot that she sounds so much nicer since she always has this nice warm tone, while the others then sound "colder" maybe. And even here whistle in Akin Ka Na Lang sounds still quite "warm". Haven't heared Mariah for long time, but i think even her whistles back in the 90s sounded that good.

Thank you, Katriinka, for this, featuring two outstanding Filipina singers of the current generation, performing "Never Enough" originally sung by Loren Allred for the "The Greatest Showman" movie. Just my opinion, in Katrina's rendition, she made it to resemble closely the delivery of Loren in the film, including the frequent vocal breaks at the end of each line, and in the final belt, a single powerful sustained one ending with a cry. On the other hand, in Morissette's version, she made her own rendition, adding her vocal cries (squeaks) not at the end of each line, but in other places of her choice, like at the beginning of "All the shine of a thousand spotlights", and at the final belt, she did not only sustain it, but did a crescendo belt which was not in the original Loren's delivery. Again, for me, it's not just about being able to belt because there are a lot of "belters" nowadays, but it is about how the belt is done. Katrina can perhaps reach higher notes and even sustain them, but they are bit too powerful for me and piercing to my ears, and her body language is showing off that she is putting the effort to belt, whereas Morissette's belts are fuller and richer and are not straining my ears. Also for me, Morissette is more appealing to my eyes, her visuals are attractive to me, that's why I prefer watching her videos (mostly on the Wish Bus and on her channel) than mere audio recordings, perhaps one of the reasons is her ever-present smile and the warmth and bright vibes she exudes. Kat did a great job making a cover of this song a-la Loren. It's just that I prefer Mori and her rendition of this song. For me, it's better even than the original and other covers out there. Just for your info, Katriinka, and I also don't want to contradict or argue with other people's opinion and preferences.

It's about how they sang the song--riffs, vibrato, tone quality, belts, etc. The technical differences were irrelevant. Also, Katrina only used the earphones as monitors. I'm pretty sure she has a better microphone plugged in cause an earphone mic would have peaked on her belt sections.

Just found these amazing singers yesterday. They are both incredible. I will say the second one made me cry. I don't know why I just can feel her more. Both were so beautiful though.

Jimrange Branzuela Kung walang may gusto sayong tv network hindi ka nila ige-guest. Si Kat nakapag guest na sa lahat ng TV Network sa bansa. Eh si Mori kung di pa dahil sa ABS-CBN hindi makikilala, nag TV5 din yan pero walang dating. Magaling lang magpasikat ang ABSCBN. Si Kat wala pang TV Network nakikilala na. Kung di pa nga dahil sa ASAP di yan makakapg tour abroad. Eh si Kat sariling sikap lang pero nakakapag show abroad. Si Angeline nga suki ng flat notes, si Jona ngongo, si Mori kung hindi piyok, flat naman pero nasa ASAP. Eh si Kat nga wala kang mahahanap na failed performance. Tanga mo! Hahaha
