Morissette.. for total package ❤ What an amazing performance by her. The pureness and richness in her tone, the pitches, the huge depth in range in the high and low register, the vocal breaks (squeaks), the growls, the dictions, the runs, the pulls, the vibrato, the crescendo, the rasp, the vocal fry, the advanced control, the articulation, the reluctance and breathy control, the diction and ornamental use of vowels and consonants, the character in her storytelling style. She has it all. Well balanced and effortlessly done. The technique is so impecable. She can do a whistle tone too. She cuts right into your soul when she sings. Goosebumps. This is Bohemian Rhapsody 2.0. Her voice is a combination of some of the legends in the music industry.. Mariah Carey, Cristina Aguilera, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Arianna Grande and Whitney Houston. She is probably the best vocalist in the world now. One of the most crystalline voice I have heard. She is phenomenal. I had been Morified by her 😂

I am a huge fan of both ladies, Katrina is known for her belting and voice agility, Mori for me has the same ability albeit more richness to her tone and is more of a refined singer. I am a bit more biased towards Mori as i've seen her go to different genre musically and adapt quite well. Mori's delivery of the songs and how she convey's her emotions through them bar none is tops! Regardless I love both ladies and have appreciation how they make music seem so easy and warms my heart every time I see them perform.

@BrunO De MarchiS But compared to other singers that also have extreme good technique like Katrina here or So Hyang for me in the end its her tone that simply touches me more and gives me just a feeling that i don't get from the others. Of course the tone is maybe in the end also a result of technique, but i'm not the big voice nerd who really can say that. I remember one reactor talked about using different vibrato timings and stuff like that, but for me its in the end only the result i hear and i either like it more or not.

@BrunO De MarchiS Yeah, what you say about not screaming at high notes, that makes maybe a lot that she sounds so much nicer since she always has this nice warm tone, while the others then sound "colder" maybe. And even here whistle in Akin Ka Na Lang sounds still quite "warm". Haven't heared Mariah for long time, but i think even her whistles back in the 90s sounded that good.

It's about how they sang the song--riffs, vibrato, tone quality, belts, etc. The technical differences were irrelevant. Also, Katrina only used the earphones as monitors. I'm pretty sure she has a better microphone plugged in cause an earphone mic would have peaked on her belt sections.

I thought Morissette was more of a storytelling version like a musical. I also enjoyed her high belts much more. They felt fuller and smoother while the other singer was a little harsh and at a high volume would have had me cringing. I think that's the thing I appreciate so much about Morissette is that low or high, her voice has a richness to it that never seems piercing.

I'm a Mori fan, and I've never heard Katrina Edit: I've listened to both now, and while I overall enjoy mori's voice more, Katrina was amazing! And her take was a little more emotional. It made me tear up a teeny bit lol 😭

MORISSETTE so far has the best version of 'NEVER ENOUGH' not just because of belting the high notes and extend it by sliding to another higher notes but because the cleaner and clearer of every word and her vocal breaks, vocal cry, the growl no doubt about it! but of course KATRINA is also an incredible singer in this generation what makes Katrina's version is her different phrasing and She belts high in another parts of the song. Another advantage of Mori is the emotions She puts in a song. The continuation of soothness and the pronunciation connections. You see the ending part do you find any emotions of the phrasing of the song? Unlike the finishing touch of Mori you can feel the soul of the last word. KATRINA is also a Phenomenal singer today and should be recognize! I wonder why She doe not have a lot of Projects or concerts in and out of the Country for the last decade unlike MORISSETTE has done many Concerts in and out of the Country.MORISSETTE even asked twice to represent the PHILIPPINES in 2017 & 2018 ASIA SONG FESTIVAL in South Korea. And in the middle of this PANDEMIC COVID 19. The Legendary MICHAEL BOLTON to be his Co-Host in ASIAN DREAM i guessed it was in SINGAPORE. So for me lets not compare this two Incredible singers even to the veteran singers because they're all good in their own expertise when it comes to music. MORISSETTE for me is totally different from them. The fact that She can do anything except Opera for haven't Morissette did that Stuff!
