This doesn't work nearly as well as people are saying. The vocals eventually get ahead of the Godspeed track and it gets off from there. Also, Exmilitary is almost uplifting and redemptive (in an angry sort of way), whereas Lift Your Skinny Fists is a very dark and moody album, with a post-apocalyptic feel (like most Godspeed), and I can't shake the clashing emotions. Fucking /mu/ hipsters.

As pretentious as this is, I kind of like the off sync lyrics and the conflict in emotional delivery. It's got a freeform element that reminds me of certain types of jazz, if this could even be compared to other contemporary music. But wtf do I know. Nothing, that's what.
