2 stroke engine stud helicoil fix Yamaha DT50MX

Hi again videos are still very helpful for me I've just had a stud strip to did not no you could get inserts but I'm not sure what size the thread is? There standard studs it's the right side exhaust side

Yes the studs are standard sized. I think you might need to heat the stripped stud first very hot with a blowtorch to melt off Yamaha locking compound that glues the stud in. I haven't had to replace an exhaust stud you might get one here www.bike-parts-yam.com/

@@peterh600 sorry I mean where the stud plug in like yours that's rounded :( only the one are they m6 sized I could buy the helicoil for it

@@peterh600 yea hopefully, ive just done the new main bearings, and waiting on the crank to be rebuilt, I bought a spare engine just for boredom during lockdown, just coming to the problem parts now and puting it back together, it's not been run in 15 years so I'm going to see if I can get it running out it in my dts frame while my own matching numbers dt is getting replated
