GFB SKA Absolutely, just rifle the ball at the wall and try to catch it! :)

I know this helps, but could you give me some idea of how? Is it just like your hand eye or is it the actual volley? And how long would you recomend doing this for?
@EssentialTennis

Jason barrak Definitely not so much for the actual volley, Jason. More so for general eye/hand coordination and touch/feel. Its great for learning how to manipulate the racquet face along with a moving ball.

Great video. It seems that catching the ball with backhand is tougher than with forehand. Any tip?
@EssentialTennis
@EssentialTennis 10 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely correct, catching on the backhand hand is quite a bit more difficult. My tip would be to practice, it just isn't an easy skill going in that direction!

During a USTA doubles match & I was at the net. My partner was at the baseline exchanging deep cross-court shots as I'm looking for opportunity to poach. I heard my partner shouted "Out!" just before the ball cross the net, where the opponent hit a short, high, butterfly-like floater. Without thought, I capture the ball in the air just like your video... Before my partner yelled at me! Turned out that it was the soccer match behind the windscreen, sounding just like my partner, made the call about the soccer game. Now I put away the ball even if it was called "Out!"
