When can we ask the Russians to withdraw from The nation of Tuva and allow them to have their independence and sovereignty restored to them ? The Tuvan people are not Russians , and there never was any democratic plebiscite held under Stalin in 1944 that united the former independent Tannu Tuva with the Russian nation . If Tannu Tuva can’t have it’s national sovereignty and independence return to its people then at least they should be allowed two federate with Mongolia which they have far more in common with than with European Russia !

Я тувинка, живу в Туве, и я считаю себя россиянкой, больше, чем никто другой. Не будем с Монголией объединятся, в моем сознании это иностранное государство, то есть с ними у нас ничего общего. Мы соседи и ничего больше. Россия моя страна, так считают все тувинцы, кого бы вы не спросили. В России больше свободы, чем в любой другой стране, мы сохранили свой язык и традиции, и нас никто не притесняет, навязывая, свою волю. Мы живем и растем со своим национальным языком и никто этого не запрещает. И не вам указывать как жить моему народу, мы сами определяем нашу судьбу. Мы Тувинцы - Мы Россияне и точка. Другого не может и быть!!!

Tuvan republican budget is 80% funded by Russian federal budget, Russian specialists builds there roads and infrastructure, it's simply not profitable for them to be independent. Russia has hundreds of peoples and 22 republics which are very different from ethnic Russians, and all of them united as one federated nation. Tuvan girl wrote above, they consider themselves part of Russia and patriots of Russia. You can see that by how many Tuvans fight in Ukraine for Russia and they show themselves good and motivated soldiers. And why then don't you give independence from Lithuania to Latgals who aren't Lithuanians?
