UCLA is amazing. Been watching for decades. I went to JMU and George Mason. Mason is outside DC and has endless opportunities. Their softball team did well last year. One reason they recruited a graduate student from a big time school to pitch. If you play at a big time school and have eligibility as a graduate student. You should check out GMU. Love Madison but opportunities near DC are unreal.

Commentators talking about days when no helmets for batters, i.e. Dot Richardson batting with "just a headband". I played in Australia during 1980s to 90s (no helmet required, white leather ball and pitching distance 40 feet). I was hit fair in the temple during a game by the then Australian pitcher. Helmets did although become compulsory during my time playing. Good old days!
