I’m was born in 1996, (I’m 24 and I will be 25 in November), and I remember this played in almost every sport game broadcasted from different sports on TV until around the mid 2000s like 2005-2008 ish, this screams 90s - mid 00s broadcast sports especially basketball and on channels like ESPN/ABC.

Hey! So it turns out, yes, I do have this very edit you speak of! It comes from “All-Star Jock Jams”, another CD I have with this track on it. It has the orchestral intro as you mention and the same patterns as this version, so I will get that uploaded soon. As a matter of fact, I have another CD I was planning to get onto my channel so I may do it as soon as tomorrow.
