There’s no valid reason for these sailors to ever be able to access this kind of information except on the ship, or on a secure section of the base for study or reference purposes. People should also not be allowed to possess smartphones while accessing classified documents.

I am utterly perplexed that the US Navy is not using their products to secure one of the most vital parts of their military with all the military budget they have. ☝🏽This is how I know y’all never served in the military. For starters, the sailors were most likely on the ship when they accessed the documents, since that’s the only place they’d be. Also, they don’t allow cellphones or electronic devices when your working with material that’s classified over a certain level. For most sailors working on ships you’re not going to you’re. It going to be able to access much classified material, the stuff you do have access to is all compartmentalization, so you. An never access more than you’ll ever need for your job. Meaning that these guys passed off photos, diagrams and that’s about it. As bad as it sounds, the information that these low ranking sailors passed off to spies was classified secret yes, but it wasn’t anything that’s going to be a major disruption anywhere. The pics are pretty much worthless as in sure they’ve already got them. When they mention “diagrams” they’re talking about the schematics necessary to perform maintenance on equipment. We have manuals that show power distribution and what not, it doesn’t necessarily tell you how the equipment works and it doesn’t breakdown the technology behind the equipment. At the most, the Chinese will be able to safely run tags 🏷️ on the Rader systems or in other terms “they’ll be able to properly secure power to a piece of equipment so that they can safely perform maintenance on it. These guys were FC’s. Fire control men, and low ranking ones at that (judging from their payout) while what they did is a big deal when it comes to insurance awareness and asset protection, its not really concerning the material they got their hands on. Again, mainly because of compartmentalization, these guys weren’t able to access much. They still fucked up and they still committed treason, it was just for nothing. Media sensationalizes it though, especially because they don’t necessarily know what they’re talking about. I mean, any civilian would see that headline and go 😳 😱. But people who served are like. “Really!?” Ships movement details?? 🤣 😂 dumb

Can you believe that Chinese nationals and immigrants right now are deciding policy for Americans? Chinese nationals have been attacking policies that African Americans pioneered - for example Affirmative Action. White Americans have supported them in this as it satisfies their deep historical bigotry. While this may give quick gratification, in the long run allowing outsiders to change your domestic policy is a disastrous tactic that will ultimately lead to China winning and the USA losing.
