Another great way is with the zedbuster. If you climb on top of the cab the ferals will lunge at you and hit the spikes which instantly kills them with no damage to the truck. This is due to the game code calculating damage based on vehicle speed when hitting a zombie, so if speed is at zero, no damage occurs

Wonderful! I also want to make a minor contribution about killing ferals. Normally when you drive fast towards them, they will dodge away either in left or right direction. My trick is to position the car slightly to the right so they most likely will dodge to the left and just as they are dodging, I make a sharp steer towards the left (where they are dodging towards), and open my driver door. It doesn't always work, but the success rate is more than 60% i think. This trick is not about fighting them. It's when you are driving and encounter a feral and you don't want to stop but just have a little fun. If i missed, i just move on and ignore them. 2nd method. I will purposely let them climb onto my vehicle door. Then i will quickly move the car such that they bang into another object (Eg, a fence, anything solid) They will die immediately. And you can do it super slowly they will still die. So funny hehehe. The only issue with this method is you got to have something nearby to smash them into.

Hitting them with front and letting them climb will really be a bad idea in Lethal zone. But both the tricks I made cannot be done if we are driving a slow car. So if we are using one of the slower cars, the methods you mentioned are the way to go :)

The second trick can be done anywhere. And if there are any tight spots, you can always lure them to an open area and kill them there. They will follow you fast. So it won't take much time. So there will not be much issues in killing them using these methods :)

I love these two tricks I sometimes get lucky with driving backwards and hitting them while sliding/turning aswell. I use the bandito and the road mangler when killing ferals. It reminds me of the time in state of decay 1 YOSE breakdown. I had just recruited Alicia Hawkes and her other two enclave members and I was heading home with three of them. I drove backwards from their base and luckily ran into 5 ferals and somehow killed all of them while driving backwards with the doors opens and during a slide/turn around. At the same time it was glorious and awesome and also completed a challenge to recruit Amelia Cradman which was another bonus and also a recruit to my base. XD. I had to drive the three home and then got the notification to recruit her XD.

I have a problem with that technique , sometimes ferals automatically get beneath the vehicle and cannot kill them. It was like squeezing the slug 😁😁😁. Sometimes it gives plague infection beneath the vehicle .

The best way to deal with 3 ferals is to exit the game and retun. Not only will this kill the ferals but it moves them right out of existence.

I prefer brogans speed and it seems they use less fuel. Sometimes ramming ferals top speed doesn’t even kill them front or rear as they simply phase through which is annoying. Doors always kill them though. I think because there is a larger hit surface on them as they are meant as weapons. That and those feral assholes are attracted to doors lol. Would the 180 and threat manipulation work using doors for light vehicles instead of trying for the rear or would they jump out of way instantly due to threat programming? I’ve recently moved to zedbuster, but miss the speed/safety of passengers of the hellion. The other cars are too slow and the upgraded mirage wasted way too much gas and handling was trash. Trunk area is moot as I only loot a max of two places before the game gets silly and sends everything at you, but 4 seats is nice when helping enclaves.

Offtop, but I need some advice, I'm desperate. I have a mission to kill two ferals with explosives, and I spent just ridiculous amount of grenades, mines, boxes of explosives and pipe bombs, but this bastards don't want to die, although the juggernaut fell from the same amount even mines. Dreadful difficulty. This is a bug or they have some wild percentage of expl. resistance?

They take a lot if not killed with headshot i would try to pop the skull first then try anything else see if that makes it easier

I have not tested different explosives against Ferals. But C4 will do a great job of killing them. 1 or 2 C4 will kill a regular Feral.

I've never been able to kill ferals with explosives (placed or thrown). You're doing the bounty broker right? I had the same problem. The explosives just stun them right? The only thing that worked for me was the grenade launcher. I would try that.
