Interesting stuff, my Man. You sure have come a long way. I started following you around Blade Show 2017. You were somewhere around 3,000 subscribers. I can see that your passion for knife therapy has not dulled over time.. I remember your coverage of that show being the best on KZbin. You were casual, yet enthusiastic, and asked all the questions that everyone who's a knife fan wants to know. Every time I get one of your notifications, it's like a shout out text from an old friend. Rock on, Brother. Peace.

Thanks that really means a lot and I appreciate your support. That was one of my favorite Blade shows and that gave my channel a lot of exposure because that year it took a lot of them a while to post their videos so mine popped up first Well I hope your having a great day talk to you later

@drinkwater1915Ай бұрын
Does this add any grippyness? I want to texture some smooth scales I have.
@willblake722 жыл бұрын
Cool video. How would you do this on a scale without also peeling the skin off of your fingers?
@Stassa232 жыл бұрын
You just do one half at a time then flip it all the way around and do the other half. I should have did it on one of my knives but I ran into so many issues with finding all my stuff for the bench top buffer that I didn’t want to waste any more time. That said you would do it just like I was doing it but go all the way to the middle of the scale. You can also screw the scales down to a block of wood then do it, that’s what I do on small skinny knives and that’s usually what I do when I am buffing scales 👍
@willblake722 жыл бұрын
@@Stassa23 Ah, screwing it down to a block makes sense. Excellent. This looks like a mod I can do, I've already got everything I need. Thanks for sharing!

I have a question about a chop knife. Do you think thewhole blade is harden steel like the edge on an esee avispa. I have chopped it down but now there is a spot in the new part of the belly that I can't sharpen like the rest of the edge. I can't seem to get it to apex like the rest. Any advice would be awesome tks.
@Stassa232 жыл бұрын
It’s all hardened but you probably just have a thicker spot there since you did the chop which would take a much steeper edge angle in order to reach the actual apex like the rest. When you did the chop did you bring the spine of the knife down to the edge or did you have to chop it into the apex?
@brandonshehan6992 жыл бұрын
@@Stassa23 I turned in into a spear point. I brought the spine down about 1/2 way and then I brought the edge up to meet it. I tried my best to thin out the tip like it was originally but it wasn't anywhere as nice as it was from factory. I think your right because my bevel at the tip is wider than the rest of the edge. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction buddy. So glad your showing us some mod vids. Thanks brother.

You mentioned electroanodizing after this, do you wink it before and does it work well? I like these videos for the record.
@Stassa232 жыл бұрын
I’ve only done low voltage electro ano but I don’t etch because your removing the oxide layer when you orange peel them so I just clean them with rubbing alcohol after doing the texture. I also don’t use wink anymore just multietch because it works so much better you get much better color 👌

That’s why I bought a couple of cheap cheap titanium Framelocks off of either eBay or Amazon to practice on. I think the first knife I tried it on was Eafengrow titanium Framelock that someone sent me and I used that as my practice piece for all the mods I learned how to do so let’s just say it no longer looks like the same knife what so ever
