I honestly don’t agree with the two week retwists, especially with starter locs. Don’t be a perfectionist. Allow your hair to grow and gain new growth so you can have healthier locs in the long run and your hair will definitely get longer faster. EMBRACE THE ROOTS! EMBRACE THE FRO UNDER YOUR DREADS!

Also not to be mean or a stickler but the “you don’t want that” stuff is kinda iffy. Some people do like the “messy” look and it’s not at all a bad thing. Hair can’t be perfect all the time, that’s why people have bad hair days. Part of having locs is embracing the frizz and the slight imperfections
@SashaFearless4 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with you on that.🤔. I like the 1 week old hair myself. Some people though have to have s conservative look for their jobs. Unfortunately people judge the frizz

@SashaFearless2 жыл бұрын
I say 2 weeks because I find that when people wait 4-8 weeks, there tends to be a big ugly ball( happens when hair is maturing), at the root of the loc. When retwisted, the ball doesn’t lay down smoothly. Retwisting every two weeks, I’m the beginning, gets rid of that peoblem
