I went to Nepal to volunteer for 3 months and Nepalis are all machines man I swear. I saw old ladies in flip flops scale the hills so fast and I was wheezing us looking at them. Your photos brought back so many memories man, awesome video.

I've not been to Nepal but the people seem cool as hell. Saw the documentary with Nirmal Purja and realized the people of Nepal never get the same recognition as Westerners. Pretty bad ass folks

I simply cannot lie, the film photos are beautiful, and I have discovered the channel through my growing interest in film photography, yet all those digital photos were easily my favorite. I don’t think digital is sterile or lacks soul, it’s full of soul and benefits from what modern technology has brought to today’s photography with the detail, the accuracy and authenticity of the picture, and complete control in the editing process.

I’m originally from Nepal currently living in Australia. I love this video is so many ways! Each and every details and the sense of humor and the songs used to blend in with the film shots and shutter sounds. Love it! This video made me miss home so much that made me plan to go back home to visit even earlier 2020! Can’t wait to see those beautiful mountain giants! Thank for sharing this amazing video Jason.

And it was all worth it when I saw the look of accomplishment, and contentment on your face at 14:10 while you were wearing thar orange cap. I'd guess he probably shoots it a little overexposed, as it can give this dreamy look. I like to shoot a lot of my 400 iso film at 320.

Thanks for visiting and for those wonderful pictures. Pretty amazed that you took all those photos with a film camera and those color gradings were amazing. You've surely got the unique style of narration. I just wanna suggest you for one more trip "a round trip of ANNAPURNA range" it is one hell of a trekking and you'll find the annapurna range right in front of you. Keep up the good work though.

This was really great- thanks for putting it together. Being at the Everest basecamp, you must have thought of all of the nervousness and excitement that the climbers have had over the years- and those that made it, and those that didn't. What an experience- thank you again for sharing.

beautiful work! love how cool toned so many of the photos are. The sunrise shots at the top were bang on too. Wish we could have seen a group photo of you guys with your guides. It would have been a nice way to tie the story together a little more. Also wish we could see all the photos you didn't throw in the video just like the outtakes that didn't make the cut. It'd be cool just to see how those shots compared.

Amazing video! I forgot just how crazy Lukla is. I used to fly there in Microsoft flight sim years ago... Might be an unpopular opinion but I think Nuptse is a far more photogenic mountain. I don't think people really understand what a mammoth undertaking this trip is. Congratulations for making it through! Prices are much lower than I thought they'd be... I think... I think I might want to do this...

I've dreamed about visiting Everest since I was a teenager 30 years ago. I used to read books by Chris Bonnington and other mountaineers. The Himalayas look amazing on film, and I'm planning a trip like this in 2020. No way am I flying to Lukla though, planning on hiking from Jiri. Maybe take my 4by5.... Sad to hear you can get diarrhoea from eating Dal Baht, I thought that was fairly safe (no meat).
