Still not clear with the Pen example, Would you please answer, Why does a substance and accident are tied together when a substance can exist on its own, and accidents exist within substance?

A substance can exist without the need of another substance. It cannot exist without accidents according to the scholars of Kalam. A body does not inhere within another body, yet it cannot exist without some primary accidents such as being a composite etc. An accident is not a substance. It is a property of a substance. Ok, Can I think like this, Animal can be considered Substance, But when it comes to real world, it is Cat, Lion, Dolphin, Which has different kinds of Accidents. The Animal itself is Abstract Concept. Let me know If I understand it corretly, Jazak-Allah Shaykh Shams Tameez.

No, the animal example is not what is meant here. An animal is already a composite of substances with their accidents. I recommend looking into what each of these terms mean in philosophy. (Shaykh) Shams Tameez

Assalam-Alaykum, At around 11:10 & 54:33, you mention that infinity cannot exist in reality, I am concerned about this, because I think of Allah as unique one, incomprehensible and his attributes as infinite in number, Am I wrong about this?

He wasn't talking about Allah. Allah has no beginning and no end. He was talking about what we see in real life I guess

@@mgphonekhantzaw835 Ok, I just wanted a confirmation from Shaykh Shams Tameez on existence of infinity. Infinity, Perfection, Ability to create ex nihilo, Ability to know the choices that the creation make before hand, are all possible for Allah Ta'la. And the above concepts are Incomprehensible to human beings as we cannot know the 'how' of it. I therefore believe, Infinity can be attributed to Allah Ta'la and we cannot say infinity is just a concept, Instead we can say it cannot be grasped by Human Beings and doesn't exist within creation.

@@ahmedraza971 Yes you are right. But we are not scholar and we don't have enough knowlege so we shouldn't think about Allah's attributions on our own right? But we can learn.

There are different types of infinities. The quantitative Infinities cannot exist.
