2 Years of Trying, For These Photographs

I Have been after this composition for about 2 years.
It's very hard to get, the planets literally have to align to get this shot because. you can only get out to the lighthouse when its low tide at the correct time, there is no moon in the sky, its a clear night, when the Milky Way lines up correctly and is the correct time of year.

Great shots and enjoyable video - thanks for sharing. I’ve got exactly this composition on my list waiting for the coincidence of tides, work availability, and enough likelihood of clear skies to justify the 5 hour round trip! Glad you got the shot - patience pays off!

thank you for watching and commenting. its the same for me, about a 5 hour round trip of driving and walking. So many things have to be right to get out there. even down to not having to be somewhere early the next morning. it works really well for Orion out there too.
