I have been using this setup for the past 3 yers. It's a winner. Currently using with my Mac Mini, MacBook Pro and iPad Pro. Battery life and durability is great on both keyboard and mouse. Only problem I have ever had is some stuttering and lag with the Mac Mini. I think it had something to do with where to Unify Receiver connected to the mini's USB port. This issue was resolved by getting a USB-C to USB-A extension dongle which moves the Unify receiver away from the other USB-A and HDMI port. I highly recommend this setup.

making the comment on this exact setup. I also like to add that you should use unifying receiver instead of bluetooth for multi device if you can. the mouse and keyboard switch between unifying receivers without skipping a beat and it truly feels like using one device with two screens. On bluetooth however, there's noticeable lag especially when bluetooth is also used for something else such as BT headphones.

@@Dare_To_Imagine that’s correct. M720 and K780 each comes with a receiver. You can even use three unifying receivers, one for each device. Just pair them in the Logitech options plus software. The experience is a lot smoother than BT.

I would say the M720 mouse is more medium-sized than large-sized. Its size is between the small MX Anywhere and the large MX Master.

I tried this keyboard because I have the K380, but miss the number pad. I found it was pretty good, but I still missed the delete/home/end/pgup/pgdn and arrow keys that are typically between the main keyboard and number pad. I use them a lot in Excel spreadsheets and typing/editing SQL. Because of this, it's NOT a "full size" keyboard. It's more of a compact keyboard.

The main issue would be that larger iPads don't fit in the tray in portrait mode without tipping... At least that was an issue when the bezzels used to be larger. I haven't tried one of the new smaller bezzel ones.

2 Years and still looks like new? I am questioning as I got the MX key and Mouse, the right click paint on the mouse is gone after 1 year, and I can see clear use the key on the keyboard keys.

That’s unfortunate. I can guarantee you that it was 2 years when I filmed this. In fact I still use that keyboard and my partner uses the mouse. They still look good… I recently made a video about my MX Master 3 as well after a good amount of time and it still looks great too… I wonder if it’s an environmental thing (like more humidity, etc. impacting the paint). I wouldn’t say I’m rough on them, but I’m not gentle with my use either. Strange.

Yes, I have two desks that I work from and I still use these at one of them. Still recommend them. That mouse gives off an audible click when you press buttons.

No, once a device (computer, tablet, phone, etc) is configured to one of the 3 memory places, it is set there, so when you switch it just takes a second to connect.

It allows you to move the mouse cursor from one screen to another, without pressing buttons. 1º Question: Is laggy ? I've use programs that do the same and they were not great. The pointer would freeze for an instant before moving, wich is fairly anoying. 2ª Question: Does switching the mouse pointer from one device to another, using Flow, also switches the keyboard to the same device ? They don't both change between devices together, but the switches are very accessible, so it is easy to switch manually on both. I'm not sure if you would be able to set up automatic switching using the Logitech software or not... I think that is a feature for some of their advanced stuff.

Logitech can be very annoying in its branding sometimes. These 2 peripherals are clearly meant to be paired together. Also, the k580 and the m590 are an ideal pair too but that keyboard kept being bundled with the pebble mouse (I guess they can also go together well). The k380 also matches with the m337 but that mouse doesn't even have easy-switch.

The 2.4ghz dongle has a flaw: if you accidentally hit f1-f3 keys the keyboard will switch to bluetooth mode, the only way to exit the bluetooth mode is to run the "Unifying Software". Just forget the dongle and use only bluetooth mode.

You can assign one of the 3 Bluetooth connections to be your phone. Then you just have to switch to that connection in order to use it. So if you had your computer connected to channel 1 and phone to channel 2, you would just have to hit the 2 button on the keyboard and toggle to the second channel on the mouse as well in order to switch devices.

Jake, please this is a crucial question. I am on the verge of buying these but I need to know if the unifying receivers can be used to connect 2 seperate desktops with no Bluetooth. Basically, you plug in the USB receiver on one desktop, and another seperate USB receiver on another laptop, can the K780 or M720 connect to both receivers and have them switch interchangeably?

That's very strange. I've never experienced that. Perhaps try to do a hard reset of the keyboard. You'd have to look up how, but I suspect you'll have to take the batteries out for a little while.

@@JakeReevesVideoI just got the keyboard today, I have had the mouse a few months after it came to market. the mouse is effective even on bedsheets in FPS games, though it's not suited to heavy use in gaming it can still get a passable job done. the keyboard I used today for 5 hours in dead cells with ONLY keyboard controls. the setup was my fault, but the execution got me to the final boss (dead but then again that's what I expected with ONLY keyboard use with weird right-hand controls) so for gaming from bed, I can attribute both as an effective gaming use, whilst having multi-functionality for most business models and productivity streamline.

Thanks Raymond, I'm glad you liked it. Based on the fact that my heavier and wider iPad doesn't tilt the keyboard, I think you may be able to get away with using your Wacom interface in the slot, provided it is in the landscape orientation. However, the slot is only 11mm wide, so I'm not 100% sure whether it will fit or interfere. You should also consider that you wont be able to adjust its tilt angle, which may or may not be an issue for you. Good luck!

Well, it's going to feel closer to a laptop keyboard because it is a chicklet keyboard, but even within chicklet keyboards there is a lot of variety of feel, as there is with mechanical. Personally, I like it. I've been using this as my go-to keyboard for close to three years now I think, and I still really like it.

Yes that should work. The switching is quick. I haven't measured it, but I typically I don't really notice much of a delay... maybe 2s on the high end, but that would be uncommon.

I still have that mouse too :D King of mice. The rubbery coating on mine was degrading though and making the texture feel kind of sticky, so coupled with the annoyance of that USB charging cradle, I swapped it out for a M705 last year. Except now we're getting proper cursor support on the iPad, I really want a mouse I can use with both my Mac laptop and my iPad, and the Marathon mouse is annoyingly USB receiver only... I'm hoping the Triathlon M750 will work as a replacement. Annoyingly my keyboard at work is the same deal, the K750, which I really like (though I wish it was a bit narrower with the numpad more integrated). I'm not sure how I feel about the circular keys of the K780 here, but thinking it's probably worth a try. I had my eye on the MX Keys, but it's out of stock everywhere, also quite long like the K750, and possibly worst of all has a fixed tilt at the back, when for proper ergonomics it should tilt down towards the back, damnit! Finding the right peripherals is so tricky.

Worked a treat on my heavily used m705 that I now have for years. Also worked on my (early) Logitech Harmony remote control that was sticky all over after having been left behind in a moist storage area.

heya I need to buy something like this. I want to ask a question. I need to switch between 2 laptops. Now I see there are 3 devices switches on the keyboard. If I go from PC1 to PC2 using that switch, the mouse is also automatically switching to PC2 or I need to manually switch it as well? I've seen a bundle on amazon wireless keyboard + mouse. But the keyboard is bluetooth (plus receiver) and the mouse is only received. How does it work? There are software to manage this, but this imply having a laptop on being the master device (the one with the receiver in place) and I wanted a hardware solution more than software. You shouldn't need any additional software unless you want to use Logitech's software to customize some of the gesture features for the devices. Both are Bluetooth and Receiver compatible, but you will have to switch both devices manually. It is quick to switch on both though because they have dedicated buttons that are easy to access. The M720 isn't perfectly symmetric, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you are used to using right-handed mice.

Very quickly. I've never had much issue with that. I would usually tap it once and the within like 2 seconds it's good to go.

Will I be able to connect to a laptop with just the laptop bluetooth or for the laptop the dongle has to be used and the bluetooth would work only for a smartphone and tablet.

Bluetooth works with laptops as well. I don't actually use the dongle much at all. 👍

Hi nice video. Would like to know - how do you switch between device that is paired via bluetooth, with a device that is paired via the unifying connector (usb)? The 3 white buttons seem to address only the bluetooth connections. Thanks!
