Renting is also not a bad thing to do at a young age, especially if you're planning on moving about. Actually a lot of the time it's cheaper than owning a property which you're completely liable for in terms of damage, repairs, tax and other things or more effective than taking out a mortgage which has high interest rates that aren't fixed, also you're locked into a long-term agreement that puts a strain on your finances for the most part depending on your financial situation of course. 3.) Who knows whether he has investments or assets or not, maybe ask. 4.) Because one decides to spend money on luxury goods, it doesn't automatically highlight that it's due to an issue that they're trying to cover up and by doing so it's to make them feel better... All that talk is something a broke or maintaining person trying to sound financially smart says and has picked up from other individuals who feed people with these myths lol..
