just a thought that has helped me…the “things to try” page is great for helping curb impulse spending. Instead of putting it in my Amazon cart, it goes here. At the end of the month , or whenever, I can make a thoughtful decision based on my budget. I was really shocked at how much I was spending on ‘little’ things or add ons. This way doesn’t feel so much like I can’t afford things , more that I’m empowering myself to make choices about what’s more important to me. It’s not just about stuff though. When I see other things on that page, like trips and experiences or things to do with friends, this spread really showed me that my spending was impacting how I could live my life. I never expected this spread to have the emotional and financial impact that it did for me, because it is rarely included in any planning discussions around money, like budget or bill spreads. Thank you for including it here!

The more you write, the better your handwriting will become. I have gradually settled into a fairly neat printing style. Also, I draw stick figures (no Rembrandt here!) that serve to convey the idea. You will develop a style over time with that as well. Just don't lay the burden on yourself of emulating the fancy BuJo practitioners on YT. Make it yours, and love the process.

Hello! The journal I'm using is just a blank dot-grid notebook - nothing is pre-made or pre-drawn! I just use a pencil to lightly sketch out the guidelines beforehand :)

No :) I am so focused on my own creations, that I honestly don't think about things like this! I'm very grateful that I don't let a fear of my work being stolen stop me from creating and sharing my work. I also am incredibly fortunate to have such a respectful and kind audience, because I've still never had to deal with this issue in my 8 years of posting content :)
