Not sure about the cloverfield monster, basing it's size on the cloudline isn't exactly accurate as clouds can be as low as 2000ft or as high as 60,000ft, which is a pretty wide range.

wrong cause ur not considering the type of clouds and what types only appear at certain heights... alto cumulo stratus and altostratus clouds are the major candidates here... thats A HUGE DISTANCE UP IN THE AIR.. sorry butt it almost certain its bigger then u wish to accept.. xb u need then pretend or assume its standing on say a mountain or a massive hill to try to explain away its sheer size.. also ur ignoring that capsule and the heights at which parachutes are deployed.. or even with rockets that need time to slow it down... and clearly they werent deployed yet so that again suggests is way higher up then ur wish to accept it as.. xb and again if its in water is HUGE.. even bigger.. which means if its in the water in that scene imagine if it came out on to land then it stood on... holy fking shit its gonna die of lack of oxygen if it even needs that that is... butt thats why i lean to it being on land.. then again it could be in more shallow ends of the ocean.. like say submerged peninsula region of florida for example... the point is its massive.. we know the clouds type that is shown... lol it seem theres a trend that people by default cant accept clover is just massive... most of the arguements though usually come from godzilla fans.. the idea that clover even the land version height could gulp up the larges godzilla version king kong king gidorah and bunch more all at ONE TIME IN ONE GULP.. they dont like that implication.. 😂

To put this into perspective, think of yourself swallowing a 500 pound baseball. (Arguably heavier).
