I bought 3 Chevettes. First was a 1980 Scooter 2 door. Had it about a month. Traded it in on a 1984 Base 2 door. This was my first new car. I traded that in on a 1987 CS 2 door.

Thank you for including Subaru on this list. I had a 1988 DL Wagon. My mom had a GL sedan. Just one correction for you. Subaru didn't make AWD standard on their vehicles until the 90's. In the 1980's you could get a 4WD or a front wheel drive Subie. The semetrical AWD system didn't come out until later.

I owned 4 Ford Escorts, my first one was a 1975 1.6 Automatic that my Grandmother gave to me as a gift.

Funny though that many of the cars presented in this video are now much wanted classics that are sold at stellar prices at classic car auctions.

I had a 84 gti. It was a lemon, damaged when I bought it. I ended up trading it in for a 86 civic si. Unfortunately it was stolen twice. Second time I never got it back. I was distraught. It was the best worry free years having a car.

The 210/310 Datsuns were severe rust buckets. I had the sill/rocker panels replaced under warranty after 6 months. Nivas were great, and the sedan version of the Ladas were indestructible.

Schönes Video. Da kommen Erinnerungen wieder. Die US Stoßstange wirkt seltsam

The European versions of these cars usually looked better. No crash bumpers, no sealed beam headlights, and ixnay on excessive chrome and whitewalls. Worse, we didn't get some of the good performance versions. The European Escorts in particular are a revelation after a youth spent with our versions. I've always thought a Renault 5/Le Car Gordini would have been a real hoot, but we never got one.

You forgot the Dodge Aries K/Plymoiuth Relaint K at 5895-7295 and the Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon even in 1990 was 6250.00 with Auto PS PB A/C Am/FM Cassette Rear defrost/wiper Cruise Control cloth int and rally wheels

Can you find today a new car for 10 000 $ in USA or Europe? Even a Dacia’s price begins at 13000 € now.

That Dodge/Plymouth Horizon, was available in Europe as Talbot Horizon.

The Subarus you showed were sold in NZ, and they died of rust within a few years. I'd love another 4WD ute - (Brumby/Brat). The 1.8s had hi/lo range, as ewll as 4WD

I think i would have opted for the Subaru coupe

Those Yugos actually went ok - kind of a Fiat and sounded like it. The Uno and 127 used the same basic engine, afaik.

Las versiones Estado Unidenses de autos Europeos son horrorosas , horribles como podían conducir automóviles así?
