I'm lucky enough to live among the pine trees here in Oregon. Last year I finally followed up on an idea I have had for years by making a nature-inspired wreath for the outside of my door. I took an old grapevine wreath I had bought on clearance a couple of years ago. On that, I nestled pinecones, leaves, and pods I picked up around our apartment complex. Just stuffed them in with no hot glue. After the season was over, I took the leaves, etc., off and right back into nature they went to be food and/or shelter for bugs and animals. No plastic, no storage problems for me (all I had left was the grapevine I started with), nothing I had to buy.

I love that! That's the best type of crafting when we can use items from nature or repurposed ones. Thank you for sharing.

How does the iron on decoupage technique in #3 work?
@Sustainmycrafthabit2 ай бұрын
We have the full tutorial in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqC9oYRthM-nm80si=SnVPDqjIAHeI8aJj . But in short, brush on a layer of Mod Podge and let it dry completely. Place your napkin over top, cover with a sheet of parchment paper, then use your mini iron to press the napkin onto the Mod Podge. The heat from the iron melts the Mod Podge enough for the napkin to fuse with it. Hope that helps! -Jane
