Kiitos! I just started to learn Finnish as an Estonian. What a strange experience! There are so many words which you wouldn't recognize instantly but when you learn their meaning you understand that they are so much like some old words which are rarely used today outside of poetry or that they are derived from a familiar word root. I have studied French for several years and I just felt like crying :D But studying Finnish is a lot more fun.
