The first aid stations have more than OTCs and medical stuff, too! One time my dad lost a screw out of his glasses while we were in Epcot which made the lense fall out. I don't remember what made me have the notion to try the first aid station but I'm glad I did because they have eyeglass repair kits there! The cast member at the desk replaced the missing screw for free and we were on our way in less than five minutes. It was a lifesaver!

Do you mean the back because you are a thrill seeker - or because it's tamer? I'm scared of it but I want to do it this time because it may be my last chance ever with sight ... feel the fear and do it anyway. My friend said that and Flight of Passage look dangerous but I reassured her that everything is rigorously tested. Not sure how I feel about the seats on Flight of Passage (whether i'll feel like i'm coming out of it) but htat's one I really can't wait to try.

Seat preference of mine on Tower of Terror I prefer rows 1 & 2 (these are the front rows). This is important if you are using Photo Pass. When riding the Monorail into Epcot sit on the right side if you want a catch at a hidden Mickey, look down before entering the terminal after going around the geosphere. If you want to want to get down the ramp ahead of the crowds, on the same monorail, sit on the left side (actually stand) in the third car. Individuals with mental/emotional disabilities (PTSD, anxiety, severe depression, autism ) can go to Guest Services and ask about the DAS Program. This allows for the individual and up to 6 others to be linked, the person with the disability can go up to a ride with a long wait time and get a return time (much like the old Fast Pass system), then the others linked can be added to the return list. The catch is that the person with the disability has to ride the ride, and when entering the ride the disabled person has to scan their magic band/ticket first then the others in the group. This is only for individuals with mental/emotional disabilities not physical.

Two quick tips I have, if you don't mind. When the park has closed for real, stay around (they won't chuck you out). When it's REALLY closed (no more castle shows/fireworks/anything else) they have the Kiss Goodnight. It's Disney's wonderful way of saying, We have entertained you enough today. We want to go home. Now get lost! The only thing I will say - if you're like me and very emotional, especially as the holiday draws to a close, is don't do it near your last day. It will break your heart. The other is a REALLY good tip. When your feet are starting to hurt/burn (mine kind of itch on the lower heel if that makes sense and is my early warning sign that I have a problem), or your feet have blisters, whatever. Mix peppermint powder with talcum powder then massage into your feet. You will feel the difference immediately. I do that even when my arms or legs are burning. It really cools your skin. Personally, if i feel I'm burning on my back I grab a pair of beach trousers and tie them loosely so they dangle over the skin - So simple but it really stops it. I take a spare pair of shoes with me to combat the pain because a change of shoes seems to make my feet more comfortable. This holiday will be different. Last time I went with a friend I affectionately (and I DO MEAN AFFECTIONATELY) call the Sergeant Major. We were forced to criss cross the parks and were exhausted. I have planned this trip and my other friend (who is the more practical of us) approves. We plan to cover each area of the park before moving on. This (HOPEFULLY) will reduce the painful feet issue. We also plan (though I don't have a clue how to use the Dining Plan thing) to eat properly at least once a day (which I can't do with my other friend. Again (at least in theory) this will allow for plenty of rest. I know we will be getting a lot of rest when we sit and wait for the parades - I have been known to wait 3 hours to get the seat I want (and just let ANYONE try to get in front of me. Sorry, it's not happening). i used to let little kids go but then they would call their parents over. No. I have staked my claim to this place. Incidentally, for some reason, one of the best tips I have is to sit right next to the bins ... to be honest, I have no clue why but I find that the best place to sit and wait. Thank you SO MUCH. I learned so much from this blog. I have now subscribed. I have to try every ride and see every show. This is my last chance to go with sight so I need to see the castle show (now I know I can wait very near the castle - don't have to stand at the beginning of main street) and, crucially (for me) Reflections of Earth. Last time I saw it was 4 years ago - first time I could make out the images on the ball ... now there's no chance of that but I want to see it one last time. Thank you for a wonderful vlog(?)

I haven’t been to Disney World in almost 10 years, so it’s changed a lot since my last visit. I know my favorite thing to do was get on rides during the fireworks, because you can see the Fireworks from almost anywhere in the park. You don’t need to stand around and watch it. Also...I went to Disney so many times that I didn’t even really feel compelled to see the light shows, again.

I had a chance to eat dinner at Ohana about two weekends ago and to catch both the light parade over the lake and the fireworks and it was really great, as was the food. Although I made a mistake and filled up on wings and potstickers before any of the main course arrived and only had enough room to try a piece of each. We are staying at the Polynesian in May and I think we may try another reservation if we can get one (this last reservation I got by pure luck the day before we drove up) - although I kind of want to try all of the restaurants before I do any repeats and already have a reservation for Liberty Tree Tavern.

I used to live by one 30min. away, but now the closest one is HOURS away out of state for us, so when we went to WDW we made sure to go... The one that's at Animal Kingdom, the food was so good that it actually made my mom cry (I think she got a shrimp/pork/steak platter thing?), and the one at Springs, while not as perfect, was still great. Just as a heads up for anyone interested; not only is it loud in the restaurant, but it's also dark. The canopy ceiling makes it dimly lit, so it will take some time for your eyes to adjust. If your little ones also dislike loud noises then you may wish to consider somewhere else to eat, as there are animatronic shows every 15 minutes or so, from elephants & gorillas, to a thunderstorm with lightning.
