I like how you show these bottles without the cap, scratched and not so perfect. The worst thing is when someone shows a perfume filled to the cork and claims it is his favorite. I often buy on your recommendation and I'm happy with these choices.

Very happy to hear you're enjoying my recommendations dear, thank you for trusting my recommendations!🌹❤I know what you mean, unless a person uses 2-3 sprays of a fragrance and only keeps it in storage or it's a scent for a specific mood, a fragrance that is in use will show that

Love this! Got Yara and I love it! Enjoy Ajwad… it smells like creamy vanilla and Kumquats… like sharp orange/ citrus freshness mixed w/ that airy quality you mentioned. Very interesting fragrance that is not at all what I expected but I like it! I so want to try the gold bottle one … need to go write down name😂! You get me in trouble! Wish I had middle eastern shops to visit… but it’s probably better that I don’t!! Jomashop has best prices for me usually in US. 😘😘😘from Texas

Thank you for watching my dear, kisses to you as well ❤️❤️🌹Oh yes Yara is delicious, such a fun and easy going scent, I don't think one can go wrong with that one. Ajwad from what I've seen it's either a love or hate type of scent but it's quite unique to my nose. Hahaha yes it's probably best you don't have a shop near you, hard to resist the temptation 😂🌹

@A Fragrant Glance, dear Loredana thank you once again for another lovely video. I'm a huge fragrance lover - yes to the "Creative Fragrances" video - but sadly barely even have budget for the affordable ones nowadays. STILL... partially because of you and your great tips I am fully immersed in Middle Eastern perfumes & now have a small Spring/Summer collection that I enjoy (like Fakhar Women-Lattafa & Andaleeb-Asdaaf) and a few others. I'm currently "sourcing" for Winter and seeing you describe Dahaab Saafi for the 2nd time has brought it to the top of my list! I think Jazzab Gold will be good for me too, if I can find it (I ordered Modest Deux Pour Femme blind, because I can hardly imagine it won't be for me. Tresor La Nuit itself keeps being recommended to me based on my designer & ME faves). Speaking of: it's not always easy to find the fragrances from the brands you review in The Netherlands for a good price, and samples are even more limited. I did just manage to get 2ml samples for Oud Mood Reminiscence and Bade Al Oud Amethyst (from the same terribly slow and not completely trustworthy site that I got the Fakhar and Andaleeb one from. Took 6 weeks & threats 😒), but usually I'm either forced to blind buy or not buy at all. *Do you have any tips for trustworthy webshops/ sites that sell samples/decants in the EU?* And I had two video requests that might be a tad 'out of the box'. I've been wanting to do two things: 1. Now that I'm buying mostly from Arabic perfume houses I want to pronounce their names correctly (those G sounds should be a piece of cake for a Dutch person 😅) and 2. I would love to be able to define & describe perfumes better since I'm a reviewer - written - but also because I'm just interested in it. It's been tickling the little nerd inside of me, ha ha ha. My requests therefore would be along the lines of maybe giving some tips on Arabic in relation to the perfumes, and the second one "how to train your nose". Like, where did you buy your resins, like benzoin f.e. Where/How did you begin? If you don't like this as videos - totally imaginable, no hard feelings - maybe you have an idea where I can start, especially with nose training the harder to find materials? Thank you so much! 💓

Hi my dear, thank you for watching, I am very happy to hear you enjoyed the video❤🌹🤗 I completely understand what you mean, even with middle eastern fragrances and their affordable prices, if it's not something you enjoy & wear it's still money lost and it adds. I have a lot of places I purchase my samples from, I would add links below but KZbin tends to block comments with links to anything, they perceive it as spam, so please send me a DM on Instagram or an email at afragrantglance@gmail.com and I would be more than happy to give you my tips and recommendations for places where you can find samples and some amazing online stores with great prices, that ship everywhere in Europe. I could also send you some websites from where I buy my raw materials here in Europe. I loved your out of the box video ideas and I will keep them in mind for sure for future videos! Thank you for your continuous support my dear, I truly appreciate it. Where do you write your reviews? I'd love to read them🌹
@misssunnydee
@misssunnydee Жыл бұрын
@@AFragrantGlance Thank you so much for your answer. I'll definitely contact you soon, because I'd love to know your tips. So kind. Oh, I write my reviews on two versions of Fragantica, including the dot.com under the name Misschronicallyfabulous (which is linked to my IG and hopefully my blog soon, where I'll then start putting the longer reviews and articles). I'm on Parfumo as well and actually posted much more there - it is a little bit more intellectual. Also, where Fragantica often has the pyramid notes wrong (sadly happens a lot lately, or they post wrong versions) Parfumo is always correct or they just don't post them. But that has to do with their rather extensive forms & vetting process for adding perfumes. Anyway, unfortunately there's not much on there yet. I started only recently and chose to write more on Parfumo, but worse: I'm currently facing a weird technical issue meaning that 6 or 7 of my reviews disappeared forever into the ether (cry! I wrote them in their text box, not - stupid stupid - on a doc 1st) and also can't post new things atm. They've been working on it, but so far it's been 3 wks... Btw, I have a different name there: petitepinup. No idea why I did that, maybe (if able) I'll change it to the other one. I also do book reviews when I have the energy, and reviewed professionally for years in the - for lack of a better word - spiritual sector (books and products) as a freelancer, on top of educational publishing and other writing, after I quit a ft job as an editor in chief for health reasons. So, it's become my thing a bit, especially now that I can no longer work at all. It gives me the opportunity to still be able to be in touch with the writer inside my soul. And if you write about the things you love (in my case fragrances, books, history and vintage fashion) it's not so bad in the energy consuming/ pain department. Though writing in English is still so much harder than my own language. I'm missing a whole plethora of slang and adjectives 😅. Until next time!

Thank you for watching dear! 🤗🌹 From what I remember in that video I wore a liquid lipstick from Trend it Up in the shade 060, if you're based in Europe you can find it in DM. Something with a similar shade is Nyx Suede Lip Liner in the shade Montreal. As for other makeup products I use a lot of drugstore products - a lot of Nyx (Banana Pressed Powder is my favourite one to set the under eye area), foundations I use a lot from Catrice & Maybelline (from the Liquid Hd to Superstay or True Skin), concelear - my favourite one is the one from Rimmel London The Multitasker, bronzers / contour products - Bahama Mama from the Balm, cream based products from Makeup Revolution, Essence Contour Duo pallete in the shade 20, highlighter I use from The Balm the Mary Lou Manizer or from Mac (extra dimension line), face powder - Kiko loose powder in the shade banana to set my whole face and for eyeshadows I love Too Faced, Kiko and Melkior. But keep in mind that different shades will look different depending on your undertone, best to test them if you have the chance. 💫

Thank you for watching ❤🌹 Both are amazing brands with amazing quality from what I've tried and tested, two of my favourites. The majority of Ahmed al Maghribi fragrances I've tried (the middle eastern ones & the western ones) are very oily in consistency so the performance it's above decent for all and they have beautiful blends. From Swiss Arabian I haven't tried as many fragrances as it's hard to sample them but from what I bought I enjoy all of them and are worth the price. I would highly recommend you to look for decants and samples of fragrances from both brands so you can test them and see what works best for you 🌠 You could let me know where you are based and I could recommend you some websites where you can buy samples.

Can you do a video about which raw materials you ordered etc? I want to be able to isolate notes better
@AFragrantGlance
@AFragrantGlance 11 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! 🌹❤️ I started with the raw materials that I was most curious about and that I couldn't smell in my day to day life, I ordered benzoin of siam, absolute of labdanum and styrax. Then I bought some essential oils in scents I was interested in like cedarwood, frankincense, patchouli, vetiver, cardamom, nutmeg, pink pepper and I think some more but I can't remember them now. I also wanted to order Absolut of Tonka & Absolut of Jasmine but they've been out of stock for ages on the website I buy them from. My advice would be to start with the ones that you're most interested in and ones that perhaps is harder to smell in reality in the day to day life. What has helped me a lot when developing the sense of smell is to smell everything- from the spices you use for cooking, various types of flowers, different types of vanillas (vanilla essences, vanilla pods etc), if you're passionate get some resins like myrrh and frankincense and smell them raw vs burnt. Smell different citruses in different stages - before you cut them, once you cut them, smell the pulp, smell the peel and you'll start to notice to subtle nuances. Also don't buy a lot from the beggining & buy the smallest versions you can find cause these will expire in few years I think. I hope it helps 🙏

Thank you for watching! 🌹❤️ I got good feedback on it so far but I would still recommend you to get a sample to test it for yourself, it's a bit sharp in the opening. There's another one from Lattafa called 'Musk Mood' that smells similar to Pure Musk but with added powdery lemony nuances and a soft floral hint, it smells more refined to me, less sharp & more blended, look into that one as well if you enjoy this scent family.

Thank you for watching my dear ❤🌹 Ajwad by Lattafa, Jasmine Wisp by Rasasi, Moattar Dhahab & Litttle Hearts I think are the best performing fragrances from the video, but a lot of them have decent performance. If you are looking for strong fragrances with great performance I would highly advise you to look up some samples and test Ahmed al Maghribi fragrances💫

Thank you for watching my dear ❤🌹 Musk Mood by Lattafa is the fragrance that would work amazing in this case, it's soft- clean- powdery musky and slightly sweet lemony(I have a video where I review it more). It's a fragrance that doesn't smell like perfume, more like clean laundry detergent mixed with baby wipes and baby powder. Another one that I love for these occasions is Mademoiselle Twist by Mauboussin, this one smells a bit more like perfume then the previous one but I reach for it for the same reason, when I want to smell clean feminine and a bit sweet, it's a great affordable fragrance 💫

I think you might enjoy as well Musk & Roses and Leen by Ahmed al Maghribi for these occasions. Also look up Bal d'Or by Lattafa I think you might enjoy it a lot if you enjoy Rouat al Musk, it's a soft delicate white floral with musky nuances and some soft crisp undertones☀️Turab al Dhahab is very lotiony and coconuty in a fake/artificial way but it has something addicting about it, it smells like perfume. I got mixed feedback on it some people told me they absolutely love it and some told be it's a big no for them and headache inducing, so perhaps try to look for a sample if you can.Have a wonderful night as well my dear 💫❤

If you enjoy rose based fragrances in the same scent family with Noir de Noir by Tom Ford look up Club de Nuit Intense for Women by Armaf, it's a beautiful deep earthy patchouli rose combo. Also if you don't mind some leather and raspberry with a cold rosy undertone then I think you will enjoy a lot Penthouse Windsor by Rue Broca (Afnan)- it's supposed to be an inspiration of Ombre Nomade by Louis Vuitton. Few others ones I would recommend - Badiah Gold by Junaid Perfumes, Santal Royal by Guerlain and Oud & Roses by Ahmed al Maghribi (its a dark red rose mixed with incense and lavender, to me it leans much more masculine because of the lavender there). Look them up and see if any of them sound like something you'd enjoy. Thank you for watching ❤️
