9:00 that needs more than 10 minutes to bake. At least 30 minutes due to the thickness of the clay. Rule of thumb is 10 minutes per 1/4 inch thickness. Polymer clay should be baked at least 275 F (135 C). If not baked at the right temperature it will crumble.

People like you make potential artists/crafters get frustrated and not even begin doing something that might get them on the path to success. You give erroneous information about almost everything - from the time needed to bake polymer clay to the necessary steps to have your pieces last, like connecting raw clay to baked clay. And then people try to make these, they break in a few hours/days and they go "oh it's not worth it". But it's good for the ads money why should you care, huh

0:18 idc how thin your clay is, unless you want all your pieces to break, bake them longer than 5 minutes. 2:34 that’s cute, but polymer clay isn’t usually so shiny after it’s baked. That fruit was definitely glazed. 3:40 I doubt the ability of hot glue to withstand that force... maybe try super glue instead. 4:12 WTF THAT IS OBVIOUSLY PAINTED AND GLAZED! Why don’t you show that part?!? Polymer clay isn’t real baking dough jfc 4:48 and now that cookie suddenly has arms and little whine shine spots on its eyes, and that “bitten” part looks completely different. Show the whole process, you cowards! 5:15 another part that has been altered to look better and glazed after firing. Kids that see this are gonna think they’re bad at polymer clay because they followed the tutorial and got worse results. You are actively discouraging people by not showing the whole process! 6:06 oh, we’ve got magical chocolate fudge now, how lovely! 😒 also, unless you want that ice cream part to come completely apart from the cone after a few weeks of using it as a keychain, you’ll want to use liquid clay to help adhere it before baking. 6:39 I know you showed the fruit and leaves in a previous tutorial in this video, but come on, that’s still cheating. Especially with that glaze.

@@disnamed8165 but when people are starting out with polymer clay and follow these tutorials and the pieces don't come out the way they expect it to, they will feel discouraged and think they aren't that good at polymer clay and abandon something that could've been one of their hobbies. So they're basically just lying throughout this whole video which is never really ok,

ok a couple notes: -Polymer clay generally has to be baked at 275 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes per 1/4 inch of thickness, 5 MINUTES DOES NOTHING. -Please don't do these directly on a table, not only are you going to pick up literally every speck of dirt from however long you've had the table, but it could just stick there and thats not fun to try and get up. I use wax paper on a place mat bc I'm budget, but there are baking mats and some people use a pane of cut glass. -Don't give people false hope on how their projects will turn out, especially with the carrot dust plug and the croissant, clay has little to no color difference after baking if you use a good brand. It also doesn't shrink. (speaking from experience with Fimo, Sculpey, and Michael's "craftsmart" line) -Instead of potentially injuring someone with a wooden dowel, its fairy easy to make a clay cone with a rounded tip. -The cookie is cute and all, but once again, stop giving false hope to people, also baked clay is not that easy to cut, it's better to get maybe a firmer flay like fimo and cut that and stick it on like that, or cut your clay, then bake it. -There's an easier way to make flowers once you get used to shaping clay, but that works too, just make sure you press it out evenly and gently roll. -again with the false hope, the previous tutorial will not give you that result. -Polymer gel if i'm understanding right is actually liquid clay. -Something I'm not seeing, so if you decide to bake your eyepins into the clay, kinda bury them a bit so the bottom of the loop is covered, but you can poke the pin in, remove before you bake, and use superglue to secure it later. -I like the planter, just make sure to secure it with superglue or E6000 bc it won't stay on the glass like that -The pencil holder will have to bake more towards 30-45 minutes, also if your clay is too soft and overworked, the cutting may not turn out the way you want it. Polymer clay is a ton of fun, and while this video makes it look super easy to just slap something together, it's not the case. Just be patient and you'll have a gradual learning curve. If you want to see if you like it, get some cheap modeling clay and work with it for a bit (just don't bake it bc it'll probably melt.) before buying some polymer clay.

Lara Jones I’m glad I helped!! I’m so sorry that the video had you fooled:( this channel is pretty consistent on its errors, so it’s hit or miss on results depending on tutorial, just cross check with comments if you can;) if you are still interested in working with clay, there’s a fairly large community for polymer clay on here, and just look up the project and you should be able to find a tutorial!

What I’m saying is don’t click bait ppl are gonna call you out.
