Thank you for these tips. My #1 tip and it works perfect for my husband and I. Clean as you live. Make breakfast, clean up the mess all the way at that time. Clean counter, pan, dish in dishwasher. Shower, same thing clean shower as needed each shower. Leave bathroom tidy. Everything is always kept tidy so cleaning the floors and dusting are a breeze. This took training as I use to be a slob. Tip # 2. Keep floors vacuumed and mopped. The house always looks clean if the floors are clean. That’s it! Those two tips keeps our house tip top.
@BeingMrsFrasure Жыл бұрын
Love your #1 tip!! I'm always telling my kids to clean as they go. When you're done with something, clean it up and put it away before moving on to something else. Or while cooking, throwing away the packaging to things as you go or putting the dirty bowls in the dishwasher. ❤

You are right! I was not taught to clean because my dad raised us. That said. Not taught but made to do it!! I was the youngest and only girl so needless to say, I was forced to do it all by my brothers. Seems like they, including my dad felt since I was a girl I should have known what to do. That's why I enjoy your channel. I watch others but your is the one I like the best!! ❤

Tip #21. Fold laundry as soon as it comes out of dryer. Don't let it sit and wrinkle. Then it piles up until you have a mountain. I don't know about anyone else but I hate folding laundry. If I had mountains to do all at once, I would be stressed to the max!!!
@jenniferklotzer2794 Жыл бұрын
I wasn't taught how to clean and did what I saw in commercials. After a bad for experience with bleach in a bathroom I went to the bookstore and bought a book called "How to Clean Absolutely Everything", this was in 1989. I practically memorized that book! An extra tip for me is to always finish the laundry. Folding and putting away two baskets of laundry takes twice as long as one basket, it's easier to hang and fold clothes if they aren't wrinkled from sitting in the basket, multiple baskets sitting around looks messy and creates mess as you dig through the basket for what you want.

I'm in England and many of the 'tools' you use aren't available here...but I research and manage to find the UK equivalent or something similar. My cleaning cupboard is looking pretty healthy right now😆 I do, however keep the bottles of Pinesol under armed guard as it costs over £25 ( approx $32) for 3 bottles here, imported from the USA. I use it sparingly, but you are right, it smells gorgeous.

Cambria, I've watched your channel for a very long time and I was just wondering, since one of your tips was taking a break, if you ever have taken a few hours and gone out to lunch with your mom and just spent some time away from home and getting out from underneath any cleaning or chores of any kind? Heaven knows if anyone deserves it, it's you. You work so hard, seemingly all the time, in keeping your house spotless that it would be a good idea to just pick up a bit, but take some time for yourself. Once in awhile is good even for those who have cleaning down to a science, but getting away for a couple of hours now and then, is also good. I'd love to see you guys get out together, maybe when you shop for clothes for your kids, or something like that. Like I said, I've been with you for a very long time but maybe you could shake things up by getting out of the house once in awhile? I LOVE your videos and I've gotten so many great tips and inspiration for my own cleaning routine, plus I'm glad you have added some cooking ones as well. I just thought maybe you could get out of the house and do something completely different. Just a thought to take care of yourself as well as your home and family. As always, I love your videos and cleaning tips. You are awesome. 😊

What’s the best way to get dog messes out of carpet? I have no wood floors.
@jkp62 Жыл бұрын
The biggest tip is CLEAN AS YOU GO- it cuts out a lot of overwhelming messes at the end of the day. Clean the counter or the mixing bowls as you are baking or cooking, don’t wait til the end or after a meal, wipe down the bathroom sink/counter after make up or hair styling or tooth brushing, make your bed as soon as you get up or the last person gets up, fold laundry as it comes out of the dryer (I hate laundry and this makes it less overwhelming if I fold as I pull it out of the dryer and it gives me a breather from doing other stuff), put away laundry as soon as possible. The bigger things like dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping is easier if the little daily stuff is done as soon as the mess is created. And like you said- work on one room at a time and finish that before moving onto the next room- I always get the hardest ones first- kitchen and bathroom, then move onto bedrooms and living areas. And I do the sheets and towels on a specific day- Sundays, early in the morning because on Saturday is when I change the bed sheets and fresh towels out just before I go to bed. Routines are not boring, it creates muscle memory for every day tasks to the point you get through everything faster AND routines allow a lot of downtime to do fun things or binge a favorite show or YT channel without guilt!
