Excellent Video! :) I’ve never Seen South African Airways in Sydney before. They did fly the regional Perth-Sydney leg back in the day but now fly only as far as Perth. Did you hear about the Australian Women who were strip-searched at Doha Airport? It’s set off a diplomatic spat between Australia and Qatar.

REALLY GOOD capture -- at 13:02 -- of the 777 "semi-levered gear" in operation: the main gear pivots forward prior to retraction. The longer -300 has a higher risk of tailstrike, so Boeing developed the "semi-levered gear" for the -300 model to mitigate this risk: the wheels are "locked" - prevented from pivoting as in the -200 model - so the plane rotates on the BACK wheels (vs the -200, where the bogey is free to pivot so the plane rotates on the strut attachment point while the bogey stays flat on the runway). The gear then unlocks and pivots forward prior to retraction. VERY cool engineered solution which had the same effect as lengthening the gear strut, but which would have required Boeing to re-design the gear bays.

I was dreaming to go to Sydney from Tokyo by a Qantas' 747-400 someday, so I kept to store mileage of Japan Airlines. I loved Qantas Air because they have both 4 engines airplanes 747 and A380, but 747s left their fleet due to COVID-19. l lost enthusiasm to store JAL's mileage any more because JAL doesn't have 4 engines airplane. Also most member of One World Alliance doesn't have 4 engines airplane as same as Japan Airlines. I don't know what should I do with my JAL's mileage :(
