Middle Eastern fragrance clone houses are doing exceptionally well with their offerings that I'm collecting them now. Especially the really good ones like Tux. I used to be a high-end designer and niche snob but not anymore. I find that the quality of the presentation to the actual juice and performance is just bonkers with these clones and dupes, compared to the price ratio. So it's a no-brainer for me. Got my bottle about two weeks ago and everyone has loved it so far. I normally am not one to get clones but from the few videos I saw on this I took the plunge when getting another frag for mom. If this is close enough, i'll hold off on dropping $250 on the real deal. I commented to quick, but I fully agree on it hanging for quite a while. I sprayed some in the air for my friend in my room and she liked the smell. we left the room for about 5-10 minutes and I could still smell it in the air.

I always scratch my head when people say to not blind buy a $22 fragrance. 1st, the don’t offer samples of cheapies. 2nd they don’t show in most retail stores and 3rd, it’s $22. Worst case you have new room fresher. So yes blind buy everything under $40 if you’re curious.

I have kismet and now I have the tux and I have to say they smell similar to each other. I have a sample of YSL tuxedo and wow do the kismet and the tux are so damn close. I think the tux is closer though. None the less they both smell good. I'm glad I don't have to buy YSL tuxedo. Great review!

@@ThePrawiboy I have YSL Tuxedo & Maison Alhambra’s KISMET. When i do a right arm left arm all day comparison…..They are so extremely close throughout the entire day. Tuxedo overall last longer and Kismet dries down to a skin scent first. I like the DNA so much I’m willing to get “THE TUX” just because this DNA could be a signature scent for me.

I’ve tested more clones than I can count but they never seem to have the quality of the originals. Idk, I may just not be a clone guy. Definitely gonna test this, but now selling a $20 scent for 60 bucks, I’m sure I’ll spring for the YSL. I’m a huge fan of Tuxedo already.

I like Moustache more than I like Tuxedo because I like the "harshness" of the benzoin-vanilla double-whammy. That said there are times where I wished I had Tuxedo, too, but not enough to pay $250. I'll pay that for something I really like (Blonde Amber, Paragon, Carlisle for three examples), but not this. The Tux for under $30 though? Awesome. And I agree that it is a 10/10 spot on clone, minus the magnet.

@@Version-ru1mj The Tux is a better clone of Tuxedo. My nose isn't good enough to tell the difference between The Tux and Tuxedo, but I can tell the difference between Moustache and the other two. But I just like the smell of Moustache more, More vanilla, stronger, harsher and less patchouli. Those are the same reasons a lot of people rate The Tux better, but my nose doesn't care.

Sadly most clones irritate my skin. Armaf seems fine, no problems. But most Lataffa, Al hermain. For instance I can’t wear Detour Noir. Whatever they use for a base burns my skin so I’m back to using Layton. That angels share clone burns.

One of the big things most of the clones of Tuxedo seem to miss from many a comments I've read online is the quality of the rose accord. It makes me wonder if clone houses are just doing their interpretation of it with less rose because they can't get the same quality of rose due to making it smell more synthetic or it's the less liked accord. i have the tux, so its the exact dna scent profile but the quality isnt match with tuxedo, specifically the opening patchouli and rose drydown. lack in depth and projection. tux is like a waterdown of tuxedo however it suits me perfectly, not so overwhelm in hot weather and i can oversrpay the tux (love the scent tho, again not as high quality compare to og but it aint smell synthetic or bad blend at all) as much as i want cuz its was so dang cheap.

Kismet doesn't have the depth. I thought it was odd that Lattafa not only did 2 clones, but both under Alhambra... but this is it man. The base notes are deep, the longevity is there (again my biggest problem with the others) and for what it matters, the nicest presentation. AND!!! The cheapest of the 3!

blind bought moustache. Was disappointed but i think i expected something very vanilla and more sexy gourmandish. It's too much of a pink pepper blast. First time i had to wash it off cause i choked myself out. Great bottle though. I occasionally wear it. But not my fav honestly. In fact i'd rather wear Khamrah. But that's me.

Don’t worry I suspect you will find Moustache EDP more refined and properly finished. I am ordering Moustache this payday. I find the Lattafa clone houses do a good job but they feel like a cheap fragrance, most of the time. Even down to the texture of the juice on your skin. I have sampled the Moustache it’s worth the money. The clone Tux maybe a good one but why take the risk when Moustache EDP is so good. More importantly it’s professionally finished with no alcohol blast or claggy juice. Your choice of course but I would keep the Moustache and not risk Tux.

Never heard about this Alhambra, but YSL Tuxedo is 100% worth the price and worth getting over Moustache EDP. Better performance and it has that extra sophistication, that magical something. One of the best designer prive fragrances ever.

It's all relative though especially in this economy hence the massive influx and demand of clones. A lot of my audience doesn't have close to $300 to shell out especially on a designer, just isn't anywhere close to realistic

@@ChaosFragrances exactly. @XZombo32… that’s just the sunk cost fallacy. Not to say it’s not a great designer prive or on a subjective take that it’s one of the best ever. But the same was said about many fragrances over the years and evolution, personal tastes, advancement in technologies, etc. illustrate that there are and will be better alternatives. You could spend $250 on one fragrance or $250 on 10 fragrances and find your tastes start to evolve through exploration. Next thing to consider is who your intended audience is. Are you wearing a specific scent to appeal to others or for your own personal desires ? Because I can tell you that nobody outside of yourself is typically gonna be able to distinguish a well made clone from the original. Especially with the drastic variance from individual scent profiles. Take Tuxedo and The Tux and blind test them to a group of random strangers and nobody is gonna be able to distinguish the acquisition cost differences between them.

I own both Aventus and L'aventure Intense, because I love the DNA and the clone has better longevity. Not bashing clones, just get what you feel comfortable with! Me personally, I'm not a collector and often sell a fragrance before getting a new bottle, so I don't mind going for the real stuff. Quality over quantity. I was just wondering if the prices in US are that much higher than in Europe? In Germany you get a new 75ml bottle YSL Tuxedo for 190 euro. Having a collection of 20+ fragrances, I never go for a new bottle, always for pre owned, just a way of saving some money. I got a 65ml for 140 I think.

I spend money on the real stuff but lately I have been really favoring clones due to the performance being greater than or equal to and of course using that same budget to expand my fragrance base. I was never into gourmands or “mature” scents until last year. Now I’m focused more on those than traditional blue’s or fresh fragrances. I can’t speak for pricing in the UK but from what I have either read or been told from others is that outside the US has way better pricing on niche and some designers brands than we do. I had a friend who is a private contractor just came back from Japan on a 3 week job. He brought me several bottles of exclusive flavored Saki & a new bottle of 3.3oz Creed Aventus and he picked me the Aventus up for $123 USD. That same bottle here is $345 at discounters and $565 at the Creed Boutique. Off topic but I have a newer batch and it has monster performance. I have a hoodie I wore on Jan 13th and I just hung it up in the closet and it’s still sitting strong on that hoodie 15 days later. I’m getting around 12-15 hours on skin from it too. So much that I stopped using my CDNIT altogether over the original. It’s batch 4222A11A which is a 2022 batch. I understand why pricing is so inflated in the US. We’re dealing with severe inflation & on top of that the bigger retailers have huge overhead so pricing reflects that. I have all the popular PDM’s. But I actually wear the clones more now. I mainly only jump on high end designer clones and some niche. I can justify the $120 a bottle for a good designer or niche fragrance. But damn if the clones aren’t giving us way more value/performance.
